I’m so excited to share an incredible opportunity God has opened for me this February. From February 13–23, I will be traveling to Tarapoto, Peru with a small team of six people for a private mission trip. This isn’t through an organization — it’s simply a group of believers who feel called to serve the local churches there in a very practical way. While in Peru, we will be doing electrical work in churches, repairing and replacing systems that have become extremely dangerous. Many of these churches have wiring that is outdated, exposed, or improperly installed. About three years ago, while our mission group was serving in the area, there was one fatal electrical accident, and our lead missionary actually witnessed it happen. That moment deeply impacted our team. We knew we couldn’t walk away without helping, so we began returning to Peru to repair electrical systems and make these churches safe for the people who gather there to worship. I felt called to return to South America because I know I won’t be able to go this summer, and mission work is something I truly believe God is preparing me for long term. I love people, I love new languages and cultures, and most of all, I love God — and mission trips allow me to experience all of those things at once. Every time I go, I grow. I learn. I’m stretched. And I see God move in ways that change me forever. To make this trip possible, I need to raise $1,500 by February 10th. Most of this cost is the plane ticket, and once I’m there, it’s only about $20 a day to live. A portion of the funds will also go toward purchasing the electrical supplies needed for the churches we’ll be serving. More than anything, I’m asking for prayer. people who will lift our team daily. I have an incredible opportunity to serve abroad this summer! In June, I will be traveling to Armenia, Colombia to work with E3. While there, I will be serving with local churches, by having gospel conversations within the community and praying for the people. Our primary goal during the week was communicating the Good News of Jesus's Death and Resurection. Essentially you go up to anyone and just start a simple conversation that explains why we are in Colombia. This leads to intentional and fruitful conversations that further the kingdom of God by speaking of the Love of Jesus. I went last summer, and I am excited to go back to the community! The conversations I had with the locals and churches that I visited were transformational for everyone who was there. We saw people who couldn't walk get up and walk us to the door and we saw people who were full of guilt and shame be moved by the Holy Spirit to Joy! This mission trip will be a week long. We will be focusing on building new churches and proclaiming the gospel to the neighborhoods surrounding the churches. To make this trip possible, I will need to raise $2900 to cover the cost of airfare and in-country expenses. More importantly, I am hoping you will join me in prayer for this trip. I am looking for prayer partners who will lift up our team in prayer daily.
