More frames from ‘Mr. Moneybag’

Nothing better than shooting a western with the homies. From inside the bag shot is my favorite for some reason 😂

Can’t wait to share the whole film :)

I treated this project as my first spec ad and wanted to make something that would resonate with other filmmakers. The feeling of seeing movies, seeing yourself in the characters, and being inspired to go out and create something.

These frames are from a commercial competition for a film festival I shot last year in the spring. I recently went back and re-colored these shots with some of the new tricks I’ve picked up since the original was made, as they are still some of my favorites.

@kalendraws has been a great supporter of me and my filmmaking journey from the start and is down to jump in front of the camera when I need someone. Thanks man 🙏

Frames from ‘The Paralian’ featuring @reedalyson

Shot this film in Oregon last year and it was an amazing experience. We had a fantastic team and a beautiful location. Everyone had a ton of fun, even on the 16 hour drive to the Oregon coast.

Reed was wonderful to work with and gave an incredible performance.

Can’t wait for people to see the film, should be coming to festivals near you soon 🤞

Frames from some spec work directed by @avidmedia.co

Really fun shoot that came together by just some friends gathering and wanting to create something.

Blake’s vision for this project was really exciting and it was a great experience for me as to DP to collaborate with him, as Blake is an incredibly talented cinematographer & gaffer himself.

Wouldn’t have happened without our wonderful crew. Thanks guys ❤️

Night shots from ‘Mr. Moneybag’

Very fun shoot out in the desert with the homies. For some reason I keep filming @bl4kdingo as a cowboy, but I can’t complain 😂

Passion projects like this really keep the dream alive. Looking forward to sharing more from this project.

Stills from ‘Bloom’ featuring @livvy_wilkinson

Excited to finally share some frames from this project. Filmed in September of last year, it contains some of my absolute favorite shots I’ve captured as a cinematographer.

Livvy did a great job enveloping this character and was wonderful to work with as always.

Will be sharing more from this film soon :)

Stills from ‘Nomad’

Shot this film back in April, I loved the variety of locations we had on this shoot. Huge thanks to the crew who hiked up mountains, through canyons, and braved the winds of Eureka to make this happen.

Some of my favorite stills from ‘Sage Hen’.

I shot this film back in October 2024 and it just won 2nd Place in the Student Short category at @zionsindiefilmfest and Best Student Short at @prisoncityfilmfestival

It’s rewarding to see a film I worked on get recognized and I’m very happy I got to be a part of telling this story.

Trying to find ways to practice cinematography and hone my craft without having a big crew or loads of equipment. These clips are from a little hike with @erinwiththewild

I’d love to hear what others do to practice their craft between jobs (cinematography and others)!

Went to Oregon last year and shot a movie with some great people.

This film asked a lot of me, and I wouldn’t have made it through without the talent, generosity, and support of this incredible cast and crew. The Paralian began as a quiet idea that was deeply personal to me and these artists showed up with care and intention and gave this story more than I could’ve asked for. Thank you all for the long days, surviving the frigid Pacific Ocean, and for helping bring this film to life.

Pretty soon I’ll get to share more of the incredible work we made so stay tuned.😎🎥 by @blickenstaff.dp
