The record release was a success beyond our wildest dreams! 🥹 Thank you @offbroadwaystl @innercitywitches @betterdays_stl @thegorgestl @therecordlabelstl and for everyone else who made it happened. We’re so proud of this record, and so proud to be from St. Louis.

It’s true, our drummer @shmibar is returning to the desert from whence he came. This Tuesday January 20th at @sinkholestl is your last chance to him rip and tear.

Our record release at Off Broadway was incredible, like a family reunion, but Blight Future is best experienced playing an 18 minute set on a Tuesday at the Sinkhole. Every song we’ve ever written begins and ends with “How will this sound on a Tuesday at the Sinkhole?” We’re grateful to have one more chance to play together, plus the other bands rule.

I (Stephen) am going to keep kicking the can on writing the Josh Retrospective, because i’m really just not prepared to imagine a future without him living down the street. If you’ve read this far, please leave your Josh stories and well-wishes below, and come see him off this Tuesday 🫡 by @blightfuture

Nothing gold can stay. Change is inevitable. I don’t know what the future holds but I know this Friday will be one of the last times I get to play with one of the best drummers I’ve ever had the opportunity to share the stage with.

But this Friday isn’t about that. Two years ago we dropped “Succession Species”. We had many plans, but covid forced us to pause and pivot. This record represents more than I can put in to words at the moment. I never thought my name would be on an album alongside kurt Ballou or @godcitymusic . If you would have told 22yr old me that I’d one day make a record with the drummer of @thebledaz , I would have called you a liar. This record and this band means the world to me. All I’ve ever wanted was for any and everyone to listen. This Friday, at @offbroadwaystl , come and see @blightfuture perform “Succesion Species” along with our pals in @thegorgestl , @betterdays_stl , and @innercitywitches . by @blightfuture

Pre-order for @blightfuture "Succession Species" LP starts on Tuesday December 12th at @therecordspace with the album dropping Friday January 9th when they take over @offbroadwaystl with @thegorgestl @betterdays_stl and @innercitywitches @therecordlabelstl is beyond stoked to present St. Louis, Missouri’s Blight Future! Their debut LP rips onto vinyl for the first time and they are taking no prisoners. Blight Future hit you with 10 tracks of smart and urgent hardcore. This record passed through a murderers row of heavy music audio engineers. Mixed by Kurt Ballou and Mastered by Alan Douches. Succession Species harkens back to the glory days of the Three One G and Deathwish Records catalogs with complete mastery of a catchy chorus. Simply put, this is head through drywall music where the lyrics matter.

FFO: The Plot to Blow Up the Eiffel Tower, Propagandhi, Modern Life is War, and Converge
