“Growing Pains” Mural with my original poem 🦋 6ft tall by 7ft wide. Took a year and a few months to finish, over 120+ hours of painting using acrylic, airbrush, and oil paint.

I began painting “Growing Pains” when I was going through a heavy time and I made it with the purpose to remind myself & others of what it means to expand & contrast through change, whether we like it or not. It’s always uncomfortable, sometimes unbearable, but when we look back on those times it’s always in our best interest.

When a caterpillar starts its metamorphosis, it creates a cocoon and literally liquifies itself. The caterpillar breaks itself down to change into the butterfly state. Change can cause people/places/things in our life to break down and rebuild into something better, for the purpose to show us truth, or to show us what we deserve.

The midst of change is foggy and unclear, but we can trust that the growing pains are never in vain.

“It’s when you’re pinned beneath the weight of it all

Rising up after falling apart

I can’t help but wonder,

If we would move or stay the same

Without a cocoon full of growing pains”

Dear inspiration of mine, “Tash Sultana” Oil portrait

So excited to finally finish this one from May 2022! The mirror paint in the background/eyes is my favorite touch. Feel free to tag @tashsultanaofficial in the comments ! Would lose my marbles if they noticed 😋

“Sloppi Octi” 🐙

Slowly breaking out of the worst Art drought ever. Didn’t take this one seriously, was looking to mess with texture and get in touch with my flow again 🎨

Throwback to painting at secret dreams with @visions.of.jules 💕 this was such a fun and cool experience, to be able to set up an easel in front of live music and paint away 💫

Throwback to when we helped hang paintings for the INMED Youth Opening Ceremony art exhibition on the last week of June. So happy I was apart of this in one way even though I wasn’t able to attend, I loved all these unique pieces!

It’s my birthday! 🥳

I can’t even believe how far I’ve come. I’m so grateful I have this passion to keep me feeling alive. I started my journey as an artist ELEVEN years ago, I was ten years old beating myself up because I didn’t have any passion or skill. All I was good at was liking tigers and Justin Bieber lol. Life is chaotic, painful, and stressful but it’s also beautiful, lovely, and joyous. There’s no good without the bad, despite it all, I’m still out here (-: I’m so happy Art found me.

I also really just wanted to say thank you to everyone’s support and kindness, I see every one of you who likes, shares, comments, says something, acknowledges my work at all. What you don’t know is in those wanting-to-give-up times I replay those words and acknowledgements to keep myself going.

Here’s to another year!

Thank you for all the bday wishes 💝
