What do your clients want when they come to you for services? It is not a rhetorical question, I’ll give you the answer:They want quality. PERIOD.My services and trainings are very bluntly advertised as “healthy”. Sustainable lashing for clients who prioritize quality. Here’s an example of converting someone to [Maria’s Lash Health Cult]:On the left: less than one (1) year of persistent lash butchering. Yes, I’m getting the “not my work” vibes as well, but I want to make an effing point. On the right: SIX (6!) years with me. No breaks, tri-weekly standing Saturday appointments. Kim will never leave me. Ever. And no, 5 years ago she wasn’t getting the quality I’m delivering now (next post will be about that).But my bottomless hunger for improvement didn’t make her wait long. 2017 is when I filled my books entirely, and I started with this client. Clients aren’t blind. They might not know better at first, but they will learn and then they’ll make an educated decision.PS: these was no lash serum used, it’s the natural cycle under healthy conditions. Individualized approach to lash artistry is what separates the good stylists and the greatest ones. Do you create a unique, custom made look for each of your clients? Or do you do the Dip-N-Slap one size fits all? (I invented the “dip-n-slap” term, patent pending 🤣)Give your clients something that they cannot find anywhere else, and they will never want to leave. Yes, there will be some clients who don’t recognize the difference between the customized lash set vs just “long lash extensions”. Usually that happens due to the lack self-awareness 🤷🏼‍♀️ most of the times it’s someone who:- wants to look like someone else;- seeks validation from others;- cannot accept their own uniqueness. I prefer to work with people who trust me as a professional to do my job. I am the Lash Nerd, the corrective lashing specialist. It goes far beyond than just long lashes and good retention. I want my clients to find their self-esteem, to boost their confidence and to ease their days: nobody wants to f🔞ck with mascara every morning. by @bling_therapy_pro

[once again: waiting for some fb lash group member to share this post, and ask “is it me, or these lashes glued to her lid?! 😱]#iykyk 😆🤣AnywhoSometimes my nostalgia takes over and I go back to basics: Just 2/3D; light Russian Volume. No extravagant fluff. No texture. No wispy lengths. Oh, how I’ve missed these airy, light, natural-like lash sets. While I have stepped outside of my comfort zone over the years, and started implementing fuller volume sets in my works, it’s nice to remind myself that I still got it (the #maria lashes😏) Recipe: 0.07/C/7-10/natural sweepTruly, I am so fortunate to love my job. by @bling_therapy_pro

Today is monumental 🤍10 years ago today, I finished my first ever lash class. A decade ago I took a leap towards something that would change my life forever. Nobody believed in me at first. Except me. I was told that I should keep my options open. “Don’t leave your waitressing job on bad terms, you’ll have to go back”. But I decided to jump. I hit the ground running. And never looked back. My career is the most fulfilling aspect of my life. And yes, being a wife and a mom makes me immensely happy. But being a lash artist makes me - me. To my clients who stuck with me for 10 years - you have watched me every step of the way. You’ve seen me struggle, you’ve seen me win. You’ve celebrated all of my licenses. You’ve watched me get my US citizenship. We have been through diplomas, marriages, divorces, mortgages, funerals and baby showers. My dear clients, you believed in me more than my family did. And your faith carried me through when my own faith ran too thin. Today I celebrate with you, those who watched me build this legacy from scratch. 𝐔𝐧𝐩𝐨𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧: Your client photos are hurting your business 👀Many lash artists do it — a quick snap at the end of the appointment, client half-ready to leave, lighting whatever it happens to be. That photo goes on your feed and becomes the first impression of your work. The final result depends on the 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭’𝐬 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬, so to maximise the 𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬’ 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, not every client photo is going to get you there.The solution, especially when you’re just starting out, is finding a model with 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠, 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬 — because when the lash lift is done, the WOW result is what makes people stop and look. A great result on short or sparse lashes is still a great result, but it’s not the visual that’s going to make someone 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. Additionally, with a model you’re not rushed for time = 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 for both you and your client 🤗When you have a model like that, you walk away with enough content to 𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡. The lashes look incredible, the lighting is right, and there’s no awkwardness — just clean, professional material that shows exactly what you can do.
