What a special thing to create art & be naked on the land I was raised on…. & the land that raised my mother.

Generations of women raised in this beautiful canyon of sage brush & sandstone.

A gift my mother has given me is the freedom to feel good & normal in my skin. She has taught me that being naked is okay, normal, & nothing to be scared or ashamed of. Growing up I was around people who were nude & it was really just normal.. Seeing my mom swim in the pool naked, going to hot springs and being around bare bodies. It was just second nature to see people be naked, it didn’t phase me.

As I grew up I learned how the world shamed & condemned nudity.. especially women, making it a sexual or provocative thing to be naked. I’ve had so many weird encounters when I’m out in spaces naked, that it’s kind of changed my relationship to being as comfortable as I once was…

Anyway I’m so grateful to feel comfortable & free in my skin… thanks mom @topangagirlhawk

&&& getting to create art in an multigenerational sphere with my mom & sister is one of the most special moments… love you ✨:.
