I had so much fun cosplaying Zanka at AnimeExpo this year! Even with the heat it was such a comfortable cosplay, and I was able to meet so many lovely people at the meetup! Huge shoutout to @candescent_cosplay for getting on my shoulder when I said I have an idea! It’s been forever since I did any kind of edit but I think it came out pretty well! I haven’t cosplayed any guys in years but it made me feel so much more confident and excited about cosplaying them in the future. I loved this collaboration with @blitzbun and am excited by the photos we created for this fantasy concept. We wanted to explore a character who would fit right into a Dark Fantasy world. Because @talesofgwendana takes place across thousands upon thousands of years throughout the world of Gwendana’s history, there is room to play around with settings and time periods. Eryia’s story takes place after a great cataclysm devastated the continents. Once a beautiful, if not spoiled fairy maiden, she became a survivor who only grew in ruthlessness and cruelty as the world around her struggled to continue on. For her, the world’s devastation simply gave birth to her power and she would rule her small domain for centuries until being felled by a hero whose name has been long lost to the annals of history. by @blitzbun

[ lady eryia ]The Mistress of Ruination “Once a fairy maiden, now a being of feral rage whose wings have long lost their shape and luster. The old world rejected her whimsy. A world now ruined as the void reigns unchecked, spreading its indiscriminate blight. The new world embraced her inner darkness, nurturing her twisted impulses like a new born child. Where Eryia the Fair fell, Eryia the Cruel was born. A mistress of ruination ruling her domain with despair as her blade and chaos as her shield.”With @blitzbun as Lady Eryia, part of my “Void Reign” series for @talesofgwendana. Eryia is a villainous character who lived during the cataclysmic “Void Reign” era of Gwendana. After losing everything and doing everything she could to survive a shattered realm, she grew to enjoy the lawlessness and chaos of the world. As her arcane powers grew, so did her desire to dominate. Tales of her terror would spread across the realm. In planning the concept with @blitzbun, we landed on a character that in some ways was the polar opposite of a Frieren from Frieren: Beyond Journeys End. Eryia is impulsive, passionate, manipulative and cruel. Her once beautiful wings are now shriveled husks of what was.
