POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Some films are made while some become a part of you. Sumo Didi has been that film for me.

It has been a journey of belief, perseverance, joy, heartbreak and hope. A journey that tested us in ways we could never have imagined, both while making the film and long after the cameras stopped rolling. Perhaps that’s what makes this moment so deeply personal.

We set out to tell the story of a woman who refused to let the world decide what was possible for her. Somewhere along the way, her resilience became our own.

Making Sumo Didi was cathartic. Seeing it finally find its way to the audience feels like an emotional release that words can barely contain.

Today, as our trailer goes out into the world, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for every person who stood by this film, fought for it and believed in it when believing wasn’t always easy.

On 23rd October 2026 Sumo Didi finally releases.

Some journeys change you forever. This one certainly changed me.
