Digital Still Life on the plane home ✈️

Thought I'd give the natural gouache brushes by ittaimanero a spin, so much fun playing with the textured brushes! I'm not much of a digital painter, but this set made it incredibly fun to play around 🎨

Starting August off strong with some value studies for Tiffanie Mangs essentials of painting guided track 💪🏼 these are burnt sienna on illustration board. Really relaxing to take color out of the equation and focus on shapes and values, painting has been tedious recently but these are incredibly fun to do!

Tequila still life in watercolor from 09/25

Really weird how you evolve sometimes, I still think this one is cool but see a lot of things now that I would change. Maybe I'll give it another go in gouache this year

I finally committed the ultimate plein air painting sin: painting kitsch in a garden to avoid heatstroke.

Some value studies from the past weeks 🌑

I've been going back to painting basics recently to iron out some issues I've been having with gouache, the value course by @juddmercer_art really helped to get on the right track and stop using it in washes like watercolor. Really excited to dive into color next, building up some new skills 🎨
