Life has thrown some incredible curveballs my way in the past year but like a true Blackfoot warrior I continue to stand strong. While I would typically find myself on the west coast festival circuit I made myself an intentional promise to do the work to honor my spirit. Today and every day I extend gratitude to my family, friends, community, and my culture. Sookaapii! P.S. looking forward to Xmas season my socks need replacing 😂 #BLKFT #siksika by @blkft6

In early April, I concluded my tenure as Tribal Manager for Siksika Nation. It is difficult to fully express how grateful I am for the opportunity and support I received while serving my Nation. I began this role in August 2020 at the age of 26, stepping into what would become one of the most rewarding and meaningful challenges of my life. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Siksika Nation leadership, staff, and, most importantly, the people for placing their trust in me to serve in this position. It has been an honour to work alongside and support my people in the community where I was raised. I remain deeply thankful for the experiences, relationships, and lessons gained throughout this journey. I wish nothing but continued success and strength for Siksika Nation as we move forward and continue to lead and inspire communities across the country. It’s not every day you find friends who would go to the end of the earth for you, listen to you vent, listen to your bad days and good days, and over all be the people you need when life is lifing. Been awhile since I’ve posted anything in my life other than hurt but this one is for my chosen fam. Sookaapii! #BLKFT by @blkft6

Reposting from @feelmybicep and @joseftarrak I haven’t posted in a long time but this is too good not to share. This particular work of art has brought me strength and understanding of my own struggles as an Indigenous man. Especially working with indigenous communities, and learning to fully understand myself, my identity and how that fits within colonial spaces. BICEP has done something incredibly special with their TAKUUK album and I think everyone could benefit from listening to the album and watching the accompanying videos. Keep learning, keep growing, and support indigenous artists. Sookaapii. #bicep #tarrak #indigenous #strength by @blkft6
I wish I had words to describe the immense amount of pride and joy I felt yesterday. Starting the day grounded in ceremony with my peers, and ending it surrounded by my family as we celebrated my grandmothers and my tenure as Tribal Manager. Im truly grateful for this life.
