I have been sitting in how I felt about my show last week. And first off I wanna say Thank You God. Thank you sooo much for the talent you gave me and the doors you are opening up for me! I’ve cried, I’ve laughed and I’ve just truly sat in my growth and my shock. Like I really did this! I REALLY DID THIS!! Last Friday I hosted my first live show in 3 years! My first show back as a solo podcaster and my comeback to the rebrand of Black Women Diaries Podcast! And I packed the room out! God is good!!! I’ve been doing podcasting for 6 years now and this is my 5th year of hosting live podcast shows and I want to say this is probably my biggest one yet & the best is yet to come. And hunnieeee I’m just getting started! I know what I’m doing is beautiful. Bringing people together to have conversations is a beautiful thing. Sharing my stage with Amazing talents is a privilege and beautiful blessing!! All the stress, nerves & anxiety paid off!! My hard work has paid off! God is really good. This podcast started as a dream shared — and now it’s evolving into something even more personal. 🌿 This rebrand is more than a refresh, it’s a reflection of growth, lessons, and grace. For years…I knew I wanted to create a space for conversations, good conversations, real conversations, bold conversations, hard conversations with amazing people who have different POV on different topics and their stories from their POV. I did not understand or didn’t know how but i knew I did want to start something. And thats when in 2019 I made the first step by putting pen to paper and writing out my vision that turned into Black Women Diaries Podcast. I started this journey with some amazing women and I am forever grateful for those women because without them this podcast would have not even started without them agreeing to be apart of my vision and not knowing anything about podcasting just like I had no clue about podcasting. So now fast forward to 2025…. Black Women Diaries Podcast has grown into something bigger than I expected, bigger than myself. Thank God my village reminded me of how amazing Black Women Diaries Podcast has been to my community. And as an independent podcaster it’s my art and I have been sensitive about my Sh*t, but it’s time to come back into these podcast streets. In these 5 years I also have met so many amazing people, podcasters, DJs, Entrepreneurs, Artists, CEOs of brands, CEOs of theaters, amazing music artist right here in Birmingham and beyond. Black Women Diaries is rebranding, rebirthing, and returning — with me solo behind the mic. 🎧 It hasn’t always been easy, but I’m so grateful for every challenge, every lesson, and every listener who’s stayed along the ride. This is my testimony for sure from my POV. A woman, A black woman…a human. New energy. New chapter.
