“Our children, our jobless men, our deprived, rejected, and starving fellow citizens must come first. For this reason, I intend to vote no on every money bill that comes to the floor of this house that provides any funds for the Department of Defense.”

“What do we tell our children? Haste makes waste. Look before you leap. Stop and think. Don’t judge a book by its cover. We believe that we are always better off gathering as much information as possible and spending as much time as possible in deliberation.” - #MalcolmGladwell #BlackExcellence #BLKxLIGHT by @blkxlight

“We Black folk, our history and our present being, are a mirror of all the manifold experiences of America. What we want, what we represent, what we endure is what America is. If we Black folk perish, America will perish.” - #RichardWright #BlackExcellence #BLKxLIGHT by @blkxlight

Our latest release, ‘X Games.’

In honor of BLACK HISTORY MONTH, we wanted to highlight and elevate one of our very own, Minister Malcolm X. His acceptance of what was and what is was what shaped him. He took everything at face value and planted his feet in whichever way his next move was. He was unwavering in his love, support and educating of Black People, all Black People. He was taken from us February 21, 1965, 60 years ago this month. #MALCOLMX #Shabazz #BlackHistoryMonth #BlackExcellence #Black #BLKxLIGHT by @blkxlight

“A lot of people resist transition and therefore never allow themselves to enjoy who they are. Embrace the change, no matter what it is; once you do, you can learn about the new world you’re in and take advantage of it.” - #NikkiGiovanni #BlackExcellence #BLKxLIGHT #RestInPower by @blkxlight
