Different wave. Different environment. Different approach.

Surfing a wave pool, smaller waves, fresh water, and a completely different wave dynamic.. forces you to adapt. Your positioning, timing, speed, and approach all have to change, especially jumping straight to it after a full summer season with no waves and 2 months with no surf and away from the ocean.

It’s not the ocean, and that’s the point.

Every new environment teaches you something. This was a great experience to better understand wave pools, adapt to their dynamics, and keep growing as a surfer.

An experience that made me appreciate the ocean and all its blessings even more. 🖤
