Fake News, V5 - Skyline Boulders, Alberta

Stoked to finally have the pads and people to try this rig. Good line with most of the difficulty down low, getting off it was a different story 😂 S/O the gang for shuffling enough pads to just jump.

Sloppy Poppy, V4 (Top 100) - Grand Wall, Squamish

Favourite climb of the trip has to be Sloppy Poppy. MAN this is a hard V4 😂 I tried it for 2 sessions my first Squamish trip (could barely do any moves), then sent on my 3rd session of this trip. I was so happy (evidently) to put this climb down. Gotta shout out the knee bar beta one time.

This was my last day and I sent on my last attempt before my drive back to Calgary. What a great send off to an amazing time in Squamish!!! Can’t wait to come back soon, this place is magical in every way. taken in Sḵwxwú7mesh by @bloboulderz

Ondas da Vida, V2 - Praia dos Moinhos, São Miguel, Portugal (First Ascent)

Lena and I are visiting her family in São Miguel in the Açores. This island is magical, filled with beautiful places, amazing people, and incredible diversity. There are waterfalls, cities, beaches, lakes, mountains, geysers, cliffs, and so much more to explore.

Our time here has been surreal. However, a few days ago my Grandad passed away. He was a pillar of our family and losing such an amazing human is deeply saddening. At times I have struggled to balance the emotions of travelling to such a magical place with grief and sadness, along with the underlying feeling of being grateful for many years spent with my Grandad.

Since I began climbing, it has always been very peaceful for me. It clears my thoughts, engages my body, and warrants a sole focus on the task at hand. While establishing this boulder, I found my mind weaving in and out of this concentrated state. Oscillating between moments of intense focus and the waves of emotions that come with the passing of a loved one.

With these feeling in mind, I named this boulder Ondas da Vida, Waves of Life, to celebrate my Grandad and the many emotions that come with life, death, and everything in between.

FIRE climb 🔥 @bolderclimbing always setting bangers.

Tried this at the beginning of my session and ended up getting to tired on it to send. Decided to give it one more burn after an hour of slabbing and it went down pretty cleanly.
