As families prepare for a new school year, many are balancing school supplies, transportation, work schedules, and other immediate needs. Preventive health care—such as physicals, dental screenings, vision checks, and mental health support—can easily be delayed, even though these services are essential to students’ attendance, confidence, and academic success.
BLOC, in collaboration with Genesis School and the Boys & Girls Clubs, invites your organization to support our Back-to-School Bash: Whole Family Health Night. Our goal is to create a welcoming, one-stop event where families can receive school supplies and access essential health resources before the school year begins.

This was more than a celebration — it was a statement.

At the 6th Annual Brothers Liberating Our Communities Winter Gala, community leaders, educators, partners, and supporters gathered for an unforgettable Casino Night filled with joy, connection, and purpose. Together, we raised over $12,000 to support Black men in education — leaders who are transforming classrooms, schools, and entire communities.

We extend our deepest gratitude to The Keystone CoLab for hosting us in such an incredible space, to our generous sponsors and partners who continue to believe in this mission, and a special thank you to the Jacob L. Loose Foundation for their continued investment in the growth and sustainability of our fellows.

Because of your support, Black male educators are advancing into leadership, earning advanced degrees, and creating pathways of opportunity for the students who need them most.

Representation in education is not just about presence — it is about possibility. When Black men teach, lead, and mentor, ecosystems change. Schools become more connected. Students see new futures for themselves. Communities grow stronger.

This work is bigger than one night.
It is a movement.

Thank you for believing. Thank you for investing.
And thank you for helping us liberate communities — together. taken in Kansas City, Missouri by @bloc.kc
