The bipartisan draft legislation introduced in the US Congress to provide regulatory clarity around crypto is a major step in the right direction. It clearly defines what is a security and what isn't. It also creates a path for projects that may have raised money on a token to get started to eventually have that token move out the securities category once that project is live and the token has utility. While some use the term “altcoin” to refer to lesser known #cryptos or cryptos outside of the top traded coins, the true definition is ALL coins other than #bitcoin are altcoins.
