Rolf Blomberg’s photographs taken between 1934-1979 when he travelled around Ecuador from the Galapagos, to the coast, the mountains, Quito and the jungle. A beautiful coffeetable book about Ecuador, unfortunately no longer in print. Thankfully all Rolfs pictures are digitized now and available for historical and anthropological research @archivo_blomberg

In one glimpse Rolf Blomberg & Araceli Gilbert 💜
Woman on Copacabana beach from Rolf and Ritmo Vertical lithograph from Araceli, a prominent Ecuadorian artist (1913 - 1993).
They married in 1955, a marriage between two wonderful creative minds that lasted. What a dream it would be to bring these two together in a double exposition, photography and art.

Since founding Blomberg Gallery in 2022, Rolf Blomberg’s photography has continued to resonate with many.
A highlight of 2025 was our presence — for the second year in a row — at @northseajazzart . We also enjoyed a charming mini-exhibition at @hellapaisinterieurs in Amsterdam.

Looking ahead to 2026, we’re actively seeking new partnerships to showcase Rolf’s timeless black-and-white work to broader audiences — whether in galleries, restaurants, hotels, or corporate spaces, both in the Netherlands and internationally. If you have ideas or connections, we warmly welcome them.

Wishing you a happy and inspiring 2026 ✨

The iconic Kicker Rock in a float frame making his way to a living room wall. Rolf visited the Galapagos islands for the first time at the age of 22 and passionate about nature and the search for species he went back many times since. Have you been to the Galapagos?
