In my isolation, time passes rapidly around me. Once again I find myself enclosed by the four walls you had me questioning my merit in for months on end. Night comes quick and soon I’m drifting through past encounters that carry my raft mind to our severation, it was merciless and mean; your words were painfully egregious and drenched in spite. I’m not so sure at what point you became a reoccurring image in my mind. I feel you in every corner tampering with the habitual routine I share with the sentiments that live undertow; whenever it was, I suppose I should grow used to your occupancy in my mental regimen. Assigned the role of pleasantly pacifying interference, you’ve become a component in the hive-like pattern I’ve created. So when the staggering resonance gets too loud and my thoughts start twisting together, I’ll stop and catch my breath while I piece together the pattern in your curls until my mind is calm and my thoughts untangle. It’s like when one puzzle gets too difficult, you step away and work on an easier one; something to balance the unease. by @blondecaiii

The effect you have on me is unwavering
intertwined in my mind.
There’s a bitter taste on my tongue
but you were never apart of that misfortune.
I’m lost somewhere, wandering within the lights and never ending buildings. Searching through every shadow and alley as I’m gathering the pieces of my soul I left behind all those nights.
I saw them as offerings, a worthwhile risk to hold onto the memories and the disparate emotions they convey; or so I thought.
So as I drown my sorrows and pack my mind with any possible diversion I will pick up the pieces along the way. Mustering the courage to relive your lies; despite every familiar revenant making my blood run cold.
It’s not your fault my soul is scattered by @blondecaiii
