We started the week with a sold out SOS, there are two new series starting this week, and pumpkins on Sunday. Here’s what else is happening:

Tue 10/13 — Craft Hang with @craftandconnect.ntk. Bring whatever you’re working on and make alongside other local makers. 21+, BYOB welcome.

Thu 10/15 — Creature Creator Robotics with Snapology starts, 4:30–5:30pm. Six weeks of LEGO building, gears and picture-block coding for ages 7–14.

Fri 10/16 — Girls Club begins. A five-week Friday evening series for girls ages 8–12. @girlsclub_metrowestma

Sun 10/18 — Find our table at Tilly’s Pumpkin Festival, 2–5pm. Free admission. Come say hi.

Let’s be clear: ALL moms need and deserve support, community, and connection. You don’t have to be struggling to benefit. Yet, the moms who struggle the most, often don’t make it into the room.

Why?

1. ANXIETY & AVOIDANCE

What if I’m late? What if my baby cries and I can’t soothe them? What if my baby gets sick?

Many moms will have these types of thoughts and fears, however, when we avoid situations to manage fear and gain certainty, we reinforce the belief that we can’t handle discomfort or uncertainty, and that catastrophic things will happen if we don’t. Avoidance keeps us stuck in fear, limits us from living our values, and prevents us from building confidence and accessing the support we need.

2. SHAME

Motherhood can bring so much shame and self-doubt in a culture that makes moms feel like they’re never good enough.

Moms may feel ashamed of their struggles, fear judgement and rejection, or worry they won’t belong. So they withdraw, reinforcing their beliefs that they’re the only ones struggling. Meanwhile, they are scrolling through social media leaving them to compare their lowest moments to everyone else’s highlights.

Shame grows in secrecy, silence, and judgment. We release shame when we can show up authentically, feel seen and validated, and realize we’re not alone.

This is the power of our Mindful Mom & Baby Group. Over 7-weeks, moms overcome fears and anxiety, release shame, and build confidence by showing up, moving through discomfort, and learning they can do hard things. They discover they don’t have to let fear dictate their choices and begin mothering with greater confidence, calm, and compassion all while building meaningful friendships and community.

🔗 in bio to register! Classes begin 10/16!

I’ve spent my career in early childhood education, nonprofit program management, and parent education-all in service of one goal: making sure every person feels seen, heard, and has a true sense of significance and belonging. Girls Club of MetroWest, MA is where that work comes alive. 🌸

🌟 What I do: I hold space for girls and all who identify as girls to ask the questions. ALL the questions. Real talk about changing bodies, changing emotions, and what it means to grow into who you are. No cringing, no shame, just honesty in a room full of people who get it.

🌟 What I believe: Growing up shouldn’t be something anyone dreads or hides. It should be celebrated. Every girl, however she came to that identity, deserves a small circle where she can show up exactly as she is, learn to love her body, and know she’s not the only one going through it.

🌟 Why it matters: Because the young people who learn to advocate for themselves early become the adults who advocate for themselves later. Because belonging built on acceptance lasts a lifetime. Because somewhere, someone is sitting in a room right now, realizing they’re not weird or alone, they’re just growing up. And that’s something to be proud of.

This is Girls Club. A space for every girl. 💛

An evening where the only thing on your list is gluing moss onto a pumpkin.

The leaves are falling, and autumn is calling. Come build a whimsical fairy pumpkin — the little door, the dried blooms, the whole scene — and take it home as fall decor you’ll pull back out next year and the year after.

All supplies provided, no experience needed. Light refreshments on us, and you’re welcome to BYOB.
