Thank you so much, @johnsoncountycommunitycollege, for the feature.

Thank you once again, @moeninc, for the honor of being selected as one of the 13 designers nationwide for the First-Ever Moen Designer Council!

I had a great interview and was delighted to reminisce about my initial arrival in the country and enrollment at JCCC. I expressed to the interviewer my immense pride in JCCC and my eternal gratitude to all my teachers for their warm welcomes and guidance. From my Interior Design I teacher, Diana Allison, to teachers and Interior Design Department Chairs in different terms like Jan Cummings and Bobanne Kalkofen, as well as my kitchen and bath teacher, Kristeen Armstrong Scott and many more, I owe them all a debt of thanks. It has been a great honor to serve on the Board Advisory over the last three years, and I'm thrilled to see that the program continues to thrive under the leadership of Darla Green and her team!

2025 KBDN Innovator: Hong Anh Sievert • From wedding bedroom designs in Vietnam to success in the U.S.

An interior designer for over 20 years, Hong Anh Sievert did not have a traditional introduction into the design world. Growing up in Hanoi, Vietnam, she attended university, and began her passion for design by creating wedding bedrooms for newly married couples among her family and friends. After meeting and eventually marrying her husband, an American engineer she had worked with, she moved to the United States and completed her degree in interior design. Today, she serves on the Advisory Board for the interior design program at her alma mater, Johnson County Community College.

In 2016, Hong launched her own design firm, Blossom Spaces, LLC. She became an authorized cabinet dealer for MasterBrand Cabinets and was named to the Moen Designer Council, an honor reserved for only 13 design professionals selected nationwide.

Such a wonderful turnout for our Interior Designer & Industry Partner Happy Hour at @jthomashomegoods!

Thank you to everyone who came out to connect, learn, and spend the evening with us. A special thank you to Josh, Carrie, Emily, and the entire J Thomas Home team for hosting such a wonderful event and giving us a behind-the-scenes tour of your workshop.

J Thomas Home started in 2016 and has grown from a small garage operation into a full woodworking shop and showroom right here in Olathe. Their team handcrafts custom floating shelves, mantels, stair treads, acoustic slat wall panels, and more, with projects shipped across the country.

So much craftsmanship and talent right here in Kansas City. Thank you again to everyone who joined us! by @blossomspaces

If you’ll be in @highpointmarket next month, don’t miss the @designhounds Bootcamp on October 16!

I attended the inaugural Designhounds Bootcamp in NYC, and it was such a valuable experience. What I loved most was the opportunity to learn more deeply about how products are made, how they work, how they’re installed, and how to specify them more confidently for our clients.

It was also a wonderful opportunity to ask questions, learn directly from the brands, connect with other professionals, and continue building our product knowledge.

The High Point Bootcamp will feature hands-on education from Häcker, BLANCO, and BlueStar, along with lunch and networking.

If you’re a designer, kitchen and bath professional, builder, remodeler, or dealer heading to High Point, I encourage you to check it out and reserve your spot.

Visit Designhounds on Instagram and click the link in their bio to register for the Bootcamp. by @blossomspaces

A little Sunday design preview

I put together this combination of cabinetry, wood tones, countertop, hardware, faucet finish, color, and wallpaper, accessories for a client meeting today. Every detail is thoughtfully selected to create one beautiful, cohesive design.

Stay tuned to see how it all comes together!

What an incredible home!

I had the opportunity to get a special sneak peek of Galloway Modern by Helm Custom Homes, featured in the 2026 Kansas City Artisan Home Tour, and it is truly spectacular!

From the dream walk-in closet and stunning kitchen filled with beautiful natural materials to the private movie theater, expansive walls of glass, and resort-style outdoor living with a negative-edge pool, fire and water features, every detail is incredible. The entire home feels like a five-star luxury resort right here in Kansas City! ❤️

Congratulations to Helm Custom Homes and all the talented designers, craftsmen, vendors, and industry partners who brought this extraordinary home to life.

Thank you, Tara for the invitation, and congratulations to Tara and BrandBuilt Collective for putting together such a wonderful preview event, thoughtfully planned to a T!

▪️The Artisan Home Tour is happening August 7–9, 14–16 & 21–23. I highly recommend experiencing these incredible homes in person!
