REAL FAST AND REAL LEFT🏁🏁🏁 This collegiate nationals reminded me how grateful I am to be blessed with the ability to race triathlon with my favorite people. This sport and team has helped me grow in faith and character and this means so much more than racing fast (which we all did a lot of). God is so good and I am so glad that this team is a group that puts serving Him before all else. Thank you @libertytriathlon for another great season…. His plan, not mine.

If you asked me if my ideal national championship race included getting a flat tire two miles away from transition and running barefoot with a bike while getting passed by hundreds of athletes, I would have called you insane. But as it turns out, it was the best thing that could have happened. For the first time in my life I was able to prove to myself that even when everything goes wrong I am able to just keep moving forward, knowing that it is all part of God’s plan. Just a few months ago all that would have happened is an enraged and bitter kid would have been sitting on the side of the road waiting to be picked up, but thanks to the mentorship of incredible coaches and teammates it was never a question. Because of this I had the opportunity to not only finish but put together the strongest run leg of my triathlon career.

I am beyond grateful for the love, support, friendship, and inspiration that this amazing group has brought to my life and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for this team…the best is certainly yet to come!
