I thought I felt everything I could feel during my first week at Kesem in 2024. The full breadth of human emotion.
Then in 2025, I said surely THIS is it now. I’ve felt it all.
Now, in 2026, having felt much more than I ever expected, I hope @kesem continues to prove me wrong every year.

To my purple unit, you guys made my life so much better. I remember continuously looking around and thinking “WOW, I’m lucky.” Your joy for life, your humor, your compassion, it’s all inspired me. You are the people I think of every single day.
To my fellow counselors, you’re so passionate and brilliant I’m lost for words. You all worked so hard and loved so openly. I can easily say I made forever friends this week.
To Cartwheel, I can’t believe this is my final @kesem_uga with you. Thank you so so much for making me come with you to those meetings and telling me those stories from your summer of camp. My eyes and arms have opened from these weeks, and while I’m glad I have more Kesem to go, I hate that I’ll be doing it without you.
For every toilet emergency, paddle boarding incident, sentence in 3rd person, “UL by the way”, post-lunch karaoke, and drop of purple paint on my towel.
