POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This little daisy 🌼 patch at my parents’ was already gone by the time this reel went live. So is the sun these days. But I’m glad I caught the last sunny day before the stormy season ⛈️

My books won’t be outside for a while... and honestly neither will I!

I have to admit, it took me longer to draw the cover than to edit this reel 🫣 You can only guess how good I am at drawing.

But this community has taught me that it’s alright to show who I really am, rather than a polished version of me. So I hope someone would enjoy this silly book cover of one of my current favorites.

Today is one of those days, where I prefer a lighter post to elaborated one. We can always try one more time tomorrow 💪

Bookshopping 👏 is 👏 a different 👏 hobby 👏
Say it with me!

I swear my “10 before the end” TBR was judging me hard when I added more books to the shelf.

“You’re responsible for your own failure,” it screamed.

This is @inbook_hcm in Saigon District (old district 1). Their fantasy collection is 🤌😘 and they have a surprisingly nice French section too!

I never thought I would sacrifice hours of doomscrolling to learn about different metals, but Mistborn finally made me do it.

Which swap seems most likely to get you out of the brainrot hellhole?

Confession time: this TBR is actually part of my summer reading challenge… then I made a huge mistake by starting with The Way of Kings. I’ve been lost in the Cosmere ever since 😂

Now that I’ve almost finished the latest book in the Stormlight Archive, I’m ready to resume this TBR as my final reading challenge of the year.

I might have to cancel some year-end festivities to keep up with it though… Wish me luck!

Plant-based magic with bingo cards, a perfect combo to start autumn reading season 🍂📚!

As a long time reader, one of my favorite pre-reading activities is guessing what will happen in the books. This time, I chose to complete bingo cards with my own *educated* guesses (totally not a nerd👓!)

If “Society of Magical Botanists” is already on your radar, let’s follow along and see how many squares we can check off.

I’m waking up now that September finally ends!

Thanks to my beloved Kindle, Kindie, I was able to read practically anywhere! Read counts went through the roof last week 🚀🚀🚀

Just kidding, you could pay me to do any of the above, especially the reread one.

"Founding-family" or "enemies-to-lovers" are my ABCs right now. I want to find books with tropes so specific that I can immediately visualize the scene when someone recommends them.

So instead of side-eyeing tropes that appear again and again, I try to put on my own spin! It’s much more fun!

Let me know which specific tropes we have in common!

You’d think that by the 3rd book, Sanderson might run out of profound quotable lines. But no.

As the storms grew more violent and the past proved to be more chaotic, we got more inspirational lines that make us contemplate longer.

After all, the premise of this whole series is that tiny pieces of gods will grant you superpowers based on your mental health state.

I used to say NO to Kindle. Reading was supposed to mean real books, the kind where I can touch the paper and feel the weight of the words.

Now, I’m a proud owner of Kindie, a Kindle Paperwhite. I’ve bought 3 Kindle cases in the last 2 months. My feed is now flooded with Kindle tips and tricks for making reading easier.

I still love reading physical books, but I prefer to read in a comfortable spot with good lighting. With Kindle, I easily double my daily reading time because I can carry it and read almost anywhere.

So yes, you can say that I’m a Kindle girly now!

What do you prefer, e-readers or physical books?

If my mom ever meets Kelsier, I bet he won’t stand a chance under her scrutinizing eyes.

A man who can deliver a kickass one-liner to an immortal overlord’s face might be the best leader. But to my mom, his red flags are too bright to overlook.
