While on a film shoot, this ethereal natural light appeared out of nowhere, and @_rafaelzoto captured the moment beautifully.
Whether it’s acting, directing, or working in sound, filmmaking is the calling God has placed on my life, a realization that took me 34 years to fully embrace.
Throughout this journey, I’ve met many talented individuals and incredible crews. At the same time, I’ve had to let go of people who couldn’t align with my vision and dedication. It wasn’t easy, but it required self-awareness and staying true to my values. Thankfully, God has replaced them with individuals I deeply respect and can look up to.
I quit my salaried job, and I’m now three months into doing what I love full-time. I’m committed to giving my absolute best and staying hungry to learn and grow in order to achieve my dreams.
I have a strong feeling that life-changing opportunities are just around the corner, and I can’t wait to see what’s ahead.

Chilly weather & exterior shots all day?
No problemo!
When the temperature drops, so do my questionable dance moves 🕺🏻😎

Dan’s Dance Class is officially sold out.
Both students regret signing up. 😂

I see the world differently because I am a different individual.

In fact, we all see it differently—but it feels like the world constantly pushes us to blend into this dystopian syndrome.

Artists are like the air purifiers of this world.

But even purifiers need maintenance. If the filter gets too dirty and we never replace it, eventually we might start contaminating the very air we’re trying to purify. 😂 So it’s important to change that filter from time to time—to take a breather, reset, take care of ourselves…

(or be an idiot and donate to the casinos 😭)

Having an inferno of ambition 🔥 plus a good heart will take us somewhere worth going.

Hang on tight, ma bredren and sistren. 🤙🏻

As cliché as it may sound, it really is about the journey, not the destination—because maybe we shouldn’t be planning to “arrive” at all.

Maybe we’re meant to thrive in that realm of uncertainty, peeling away the clouds little by little through the fog of war. Direction matters, of course, but as storytellers, all we really have are the references we gather from our own experiences.

The journey gifts us those experiences—the little pieces we eventually put together to form this beautiful thing called art.

No money, but plenty of honey, baby. 🍯🤙🏻

Goodbye, Summer! ☀️🍂

So many unforgettable moments and memories made this summer. I tried to capture those feelings through this little sax solo.

And now, I welcome my favourite season, Autumn, with a little serenity. 🎷✨

Technically, I’m beyond rusty, but I’m no longer insecure about my playing. I’m just here to enjoy the music and express myself. 🥲🥹

Having a loud voice can hype up a crowd—but I want to build a voice that speaks volumes even during the quietest moments.

The funny thing is, I never really “applied” to become a host. It was more like someone asked, “Do you want to do it?” and I said, “Sure!”

I accepted that first opportunity while I was still overcoming stage fright. I had no formal training in public speaking—all I had was energy, intuition, and heart.

As a host, I believe my responsibility goes beyond entertaining the crowd and keeping the schedule flowing smoothly. I want to elevate the entire experience. If I can genuinely connect with the audience and resonate with their hearts, that’s what being a true event host means to me.

I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve for interacting with the crowd—especially when I need to buy some time. But in that particular moment, I felt it was time to share what was genuinely on my heart.

I believe it brought a sense of unity to the atmosphere, and people truly opened their ears—and their hearts.

That’s the kind of connection I want to create—not only as a host, but throughout my entire artistic journey.

🎬 Daniel Mok’s Film Class 101

You know I’ve spent a few years working professionally on many, many film sets.
Now it’s time to give back to the community—because I don’t gatekeep.

Once you understand and master these fundamentals, maybe—just maybe—you’ll be ready to work on the next MCU project. 😉

When I start posting about hair stuff…
you already know what time it is. 😎🔥🔥🔥

🇰🇷 First up —
I’ll be back as co-host with @jenyewonkim for
the Toronto Korean Festival @torontokfest

📍 Mel Lastman Square (North York Centre)
📅 August 21–23

And then… I RUN IT BACK. 🔥

🎷🎶 I’ll be returning to the same stage for
Toronto Undergraduate Jazz Festival @tujazzfest
happening September 4–6!

Two festivals.
Same stage.
Thousands of people.
And me with a microphone. 🎤😂

Come see me hype up the crowd, make questionable jokes, and somehow get away with it in front of thousands of people. 😂🔥

Toronto, I’ll see you from the stage.

LET’S GOOOOOOO. 🇰🇷🎤🎷🔥

I was cast as “Young Gangster” in @supaveen THAANGALE music video.

Did the wardrobe myself 😎🪭

Big thanks to @alraffaymirza , @arshadm22 , and the whole production for giving me the creative space to play and bring the character to life.

And a special shoutout to @danlim.storyteller for the great on-screen chemistry. 🎬🔥

Grateful to have been part of this one!

After wrapping months of shooting Season 2 of @officialcrossroadsprings by @brainpowerstudio and @greatamericanfamily , some of us celebrated by catching the new Spider-Man movie together.

One of my favorite things about this industry isn’t just making films—it’s being surrounded by people who genuinely love them. We spend our days behind the camera, then our nights in front of the big screen.

Whatever your profession is, I hope you find a community that reminds you why you fell in love with what you do.

It’s something I’m learning to embrace now—and something I hope to protect no matter how far my career takes me.
