"Flipping all my L's into the straight motivationAin't no quitter, I'm built for the grindPressure makes diamonds, so, I'm gonna shineOne more shot, yeah, one more timeLace up my gloves, I been fighting for yearsFaced all my demons, I faced all my fearsTook every hit as I look in the mirrorMy vision's alive and the mission is clearSay my name, say it loudEvery scar, I wear them proudEvery word coming out my mouthHas got me here, where I'm standing now" Hard to believe a few years ago I was lying in a hospital bed after back surgery, questioning if I'd ever walk normally again, and now I'm here, racing and living the life I always wanted to live, I thank God for the second chance he gave me at this life to straighten my life up and commit.And then I finally got to race the hammer drop @henryhortonstatepark after a year of dreaming, training, preparing, learning, and building my bike. @moabbikeshop I had an astonishing time even tho I had to tap out of the 4 lap at lap 2, body said nope 😅😭. But honestly, them pros are super fast, but I'll never beat them or have a chance at beating them if I don't at least try lol. the beginner race went really well for me and I was flying my Marin down the trail, ended up 2nd in my category and for the overall group time I think I ended up 6-8th place. HUGE THANK YOU to Casey from @hubyouthcycling for letting me demo a santa cruz chameleon, and for gifting me clipless pedals and some kit, I am forever grateful. also special thanks to @elijah_osters for giving me the opportunity to ride and test out modern-day bikes, it really astonishes me how much, yet how little has changed in the bike world in 20 years. by @blue_mootang
