POSTS STORIES REELS
WE ARE SELLING OUR 1987 SSL G SERIES CONSOLE!!! - 56 mono channels - 4 stereo channels - 8 VCA groups - Mix A, B, C - 32 channel matrix - Built in Listen Mix, auto-fade and talkback - G series bus compressor - Full patchbay (44 rows, 32 patch points wide) This was one of a number of consoles sold by SSL on the cusp of the G series product release, they were sold with the understanding that some components would be upgraded as and when they became available. This was essentially the Mic/Line amp and EQ cards so this was in essence an E/V series console with some G series upgrades. The 688 centre module is The console was sold originally to CBS studios in London and subsequently sold to Eden studios where I completely re-engineered the centre section to accommodate the G series keyboard and the frame extended to 60 channels. The desk has been extensively re-capped and switches etc. are in good condition. Because the remote patch cabling is attached to the centre of the console it would be relatively easy to either shorten the console or remove bays to assist with maneuvering in restricted access. In 2006, it made its way to Blue Bell Hill Studios where it has been used on almost every mix Barny has done until now as well as almost all tracking sessions - maintained by George Gilbert himself as well as Mike Gardener since. The console is in remarkably good condition for its age with barely any oxidisation of switches etc. and comes with brand new Malcom Toft power supply as well as the old one which would be in need of repair to be used as a spare. User manual, service manual and spare parts included. Comes with full patchbay too. Artist connections are endless: Elvis Costello, Sex Pistols, Joy Division, Oasis, The Smiths, McFly, Sade, The Killers, George Michael, Tom Jones, The Darkness, Joe Jackson alongside all artists you see on the Blue Bell Hill Studios Client list on our website (link in bio). Asking price: £30k and open to offers. For enquiries please email us at bluebellhillstudios@icloud.com #sslconsole #studiogear #vintageconsole #studio #ssl by @bluebellhillstudios
NEW ALBUM RELEASE! "Everything, Nothing Matter" - @alwayssosoon Mixed @bluebellhillstudios by Barny Barnicott Mastered by @puttingitonwax From his mouth directly, these are Barny's proudest mixes. Huge sounding songs from very few elements. All the aspects of music that audiophiles loved balanced perfectly with brilliant songwriting and arranging. PLEASE do yourself and listen to this fantastic album! #bbhstudios #newmusic #mixing by @bluebellhillstudios
Gia Ford - A Room within A Room (album) Produced by Conor Houston Engineered by ME Mixed by Barny Barnicott So so so proud of this record. Had the funniest, most nuts time recording it and finding all these ridiculous sounds, chucking everything under the sun through my pedalboard and laughing til our bellies hurt the entire time. 💙 @gia__ford by @bluebellhillstudios
NEW RELEASE! "Pigeon" + "Angelina" - @077ruma Engineered and Co-Produced by @clay.bennetto Programming by @killcadara Mastered by @stekmastering Literally one of, if not THE most beautiful voice we've ever recorded here! Multiple genre influences here and truly something special here. A stripped back song that feels big when it needs to but exists for itself - short and to the point. We can’t wait for you to hear the rest... #newmusic #bbhstudios #RUMA by @bluebellhillstudios

Today, we’re “cracking the code” of vintage compressors using the Brick Lane 500’s ENIGMA mode. In this video, Barny Barnicott and Clay Bennett from Blue Bell Hill Studios put the ENIGMA parameters of the Brick Lane 500 through their paces — using them to match the tone and response of a vintage UREI 1176 and the SSL G-Series channel dynamics. Full video in the link in bio. #BrickLane500 #ENIGMAMode #VintageCompressors #StudioGear #AudioEngineering #MusicProduction #Mixing #ProAudio #BlueBellHillStudios #BarnyBarnicott #ClayBennett by @bluebellhillstudios

NEW RELEASE! "God" - @gia__ford Recorded by @clay.bennetto Mixed by @barnybarnicott Possibly one of the coolest sessions of recent memory. Absolutely incredible musicians, insanely beautiful song and channelling that 90s edgy vibe via some vintage transient designers. #newmusic #bbhstudios #musicproducer by @bluebellhillstudios
