Hi My name is Gwen Houston and I’m the owner of Blueberry Patchwork. I decided to get involved in a festival on instagram for the month of March in order to connect with others who love quilting. I chose this photo of me because it lets you know a little more about me. I’m sitting at my son and daughter-in-law’s home with a cup of tea and a cat is peeking out from the quilt I made. So, I love family, pets, quilts and tea! Easy! And my instagram handle… tells you I LOVE blueberries.
I also love music and enjoy singing and playing piano for our church. I started quilting in 2012 when my son who was heading off to university asked me (who really didn’t know how to sew) to make him a tee shirt quilt. I’m excited to get this quilt back from Dina Chartrand @Quilting Mindset! I had this one hanging around for a while and finally got it ready for her to long-arm. She chose a cross-stitch-like pantograph for a country feel.

To make this lap-sized quilt I used my own quilt pattern called “Simply Charming” which uses a jelly roll and five inch squares (charms). #quiltingmindset #jellyrollquilt #originalquiltpatterns by @blueberrypatchwork

I’m wondering which of these items you might like. These are available from Maywood Studio and since I’m able to order one instead of multiple precuts you could choose exactly what you need for a project. Let me know what you would like…. These pretty fabrics from Riley Blake are released this July so we would get them most likely in August.
I would order Cozy Autumn and Tangled Garden as fat quarter bundles( I order three bundles of each fabric line). Baked with Love has a lot of prints so I would order that in a charm pack (I have to order 6). Do any of these interest you? #rileyblakefabrics by @blueberrypatchwork

Hi I hope everyone has been enjoying my weekly three yard specials!
As many of you know I try to keep my prices as low as possible and so I do not usually have sale items. Since I have a lot of yardage I decided to do three yard bundles once a week for a little while.

This pretty group of fabrics with one yard of each colour would total $62 normally but this week it will only be $55!

It is always wonderful when “Wonderfil” thread arrives. I have a beautiful and colourful Tutti kit .
Konfetti came in a boxed set called Iced Pastelsas well as large cones of soft white. Polyfast is here in white and frosty white and we also have dove grey and antique white. I almost forgot the rainbow coloured box of Invisafil! #wonderfilthreads by @blueberrypatchwork
