On the one hand - the last person you expect to see in a lounge bar in the middle of the night is a monk, sipping a highball or munching on a California roll. Shanghai is the closest place on earth to Blade Runner, the movie. It’s gigantic, apocalyptic and chaotic. It’s a roller coaster. Bread ETC is our branded contribution to the city. I happened to spend a day with partners David and Gil at Jaume Giro I Giro Cava vineyard in Sant Sadurai D’Ancia. What an elevated day it was. The artist and author Nahum Gutman (1898-1980) can be easily regarded as the forefather of the Tel Avivian Bohemia. The museum under his name though, looked and felt way more of a biblical institute rather than a modern art one. So we changed its image. What makes a building more than just walls? As the Bauhaus movement celebrated its 100th anniversary, we created a full brand identity for @liebling_haus alongside a wayfinding system. Located in the heart of a World Heritage site, this museum celebrates Tel Aviv as a hub for the International Style, developed in the 1930s by Jewish architects who fled Europe.
