Top of rod and bottom of rod is some verbiage I use alot when hanging pipe. Translate that center of pipe measure to a bottom of rod measure and then it’s smooth sailing. A lot faster in my brain than explaining it on video. I always was and always will be the guy who gives the exact measure to the apprentice. I never expect them to subtract and elbow or subtract the hanger. Just eliminate all the math and give a straight cut number. I’ve worked with a lot of guys who give end to center measures when piping heads or measuring hangers and I’ve always thought that was dumb af. The apprentice or whoever is on the machine shouldn’t be doing math for you because it should be done instantly in your head as you’re measuring. I made this particular video for an apprentice years ago that had asked me this question about finding your rod measure. Typically I’d be using lasers and just set it and forget it. Now obviously there’s many other ways to go about this, how would you do it tho ? #fireprotection #firesprinklers #bluecollar #constructionlife #highrise taken in Boston, Massachusetts by @bluecollarbobby

So easy even ___________ ‘s could do it !!! (You fill in the blank) 🤣🤣🤣 The @snapdrill team has told me that pre-setting the pressure switch is not the recommended way. You should always back off the pressure switch and start with no pressure and then apply gradually once the drill is in motion. That being said, watch me still do it this way for the love of the game and a true product test 🤣🤣 So far 100+/- holes with this hole-saw and no lubricant, I was also told by the snapdrill team to spray the hole-saw with lubricant, I’ve never lubed a hole-saw for a mech tee and I have more than one snap drill hole-saw so I’m going to see how many holes we get without lube and then see how many we get with some lube. taken in Boston, Massachusetts by @bluecollarbobby

Let’s play with these nuts together, or whatever Sometimes the channel locks win versus driving to home depot for the correct socket, keep in mind I flew here with a pelican case and 50lbs of tools and sometimes you have to do what you have to do 🫶🏼 Twisting these nuts is like asmr!! Honored to be on a list with such people 🫡 27 last year 14 this year, If you believe something then just keep pushing. Fck the noise and all the boomers on Facebook typing hate comments from the top of their ladder while I’m packing my bags to catch another flight 🫡🫡🤹🏻‍♂️ Moving and grooving onward and upward there’s nothing to it but to do it. “Top 35 Blue Collar Influencers in 2026“ Number 14 of bluecollar influencers in the whole ass world is wild news. When I started this page I was just a kid with an iPhone. Still am 🤣🤹🏻‍♂️ You don’t need a committee to entice the next generation, just show them what it’s about and they will come. Been doing that on this account for over a decade 🫡🤹🏻‍♂️ On here we Can actually educate the public and help influence your local AHJ to push every code not just the big ones. I want to see everyone following NFPA241 guidelines not just Boston🫣 #fyp #explore #firesprinkler #sprinklerfitter #influencer taken in Boston, Massachusetts by @bluecollarbobby

3 flexies for 8 double The Good ole days 🤣 Hospital jobs always make their deadline because the check book is open, GC said it had to happen Sunday and he would pay 8 double regardless of how long it took me🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ 1 hour of work. 2 hours of driving. 16 hours earned Don’t hate the player hate the game 🫡🤹🏻‍♂️ Double time was an excellent part about the union (for those that got it) but having zero vacation days and only one paid holiday was such a farce. Then 15+ federal holdiays we were forced off with no pay, in simple terms is 15 weeks of 32 hrs. Are just some of the reasons I left 😘 #fireprotection #firesprinkler #sprinklerfitter #firepump #fyp taken in Boston, Massachusetts by @bluecollarbobby

Nothing to it but to do it🫣🤹🏻‍♂️ This is why I always add a lowpoint whenever I can Some comments will say “I’d never have done it like that” Trust me, I know you wouldn’t have that’s why they called me 😎 Other comments will be “coulda” “shoulda” “woulda” fck all that job done, invoice sent Then there’s the homies that just say “hell yea🚀” Lastly we will have someone’s grampy on Facebook telling me how they did it in the 60s and why I should still do it that way even tho they didn’t have a Facebook to complain on in 1960 but here they are … Happy Sunday 🫡🤹🏻‍♂️ #firesprinklers #fireprotection #blackwatergang #savinglives #reelitfeelit taken in Boston, Massachusetts by @bluecollarbobby
