Equalizing is one of the most important things to remember when diving.

As you descend, pressure increases, and your ears need to equalize to that changing pressure. It’s a very common issue for divers, especially beginners, but equalizing shouldn’t be painful or something you have to force.

Most importantly, know your own body and listen to it. Your dive buddy might be 10 metres below you, but there’s no prize for getting there first.

Diving should be enjoyable, comfortable, and pain-free.

Meet our last Conservation Scholarship Awardee, Shafa!

Currently pursuing her master’s degree in Environmental Science, Shafa’s passion for nature has brought her from Java to Bali, where she is studying coral reef ecosystems.

Her passion led her to work on a project with us, studying the famous soft coral, Xenia sp. As this soft coral has started to become a problem at our coral restoration site, Shafa is looking into which types of hard coral lifeforms actually attract them to settle and grow. 🪸

Meet Dodi, our Equipment Technician 🤿🔧

From serving drinks to making sure our equipment is ready for the next dive, he’s taken on a whole new skill set along the way.
Now, he’s one of the people behind the scenes making sure our gear is in good shape and ready to go whenever we are.
