We are proud to introduce DePaul University/ Athletics as a sponsor for Oak Hill Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Awards Gala honoring Rod Strickland.

DePaul’s support speaks volumes because their love for Rod is real. On February 3, 2026, DePaul University retired Rod Strickland’s No. 10 jersey during halftime of the men’s basketball game against St. John’s at Wintrust Arena, raising his name among fellow DePaul greats.

A 1988 First-Team All-American, Rod led DePaul to three NCAA Tournament appearances during his 1986–1988 career, averaging 16.6 points and 7.8 assists per game. His impact as a player, leader, and mentor continues to reach generations across the game.

Now, as Oak Hill Academy prepares to honor Rod with a Lifetime Achievement Award in New York City, we are grateful to have DePaul Athletics stand with us in celebrating a man whose story continues to inspire.

I’ve been fortunate to experience some incredible sporting events in my career, but days like today hit differently. Sharing the FIFA World Cup with Braden, watching France and Mbappé in person, is a memory I’ll carry forever. Grateful. taken in MetLife Stadium by @bluedemonsad
