Lifting heavy taught me that resilience isn’t just for the gym.
Being a nurse shows you how heavy life can get, but the barbell teaches you how to stand up under that pressure. For me, moving iron is a reminder that when life gets heavy, you don’t quit—you adjust your grip and lift.
Every rep reminds you that no matter how heavy life gets, you have the power to rise back up. #resilience #strongwomen #nursewholifts #fitnessmotivation #strongmindstrongbody by @bluefairy21

Water has a beautiful way of holding you when you feel like you’re falling apart. Every stroke is a reminder that I am moving forward, even when it feels slow. Learning to trust my body again, one quiet lap at a time. #swimming #therapy #fitnessmotivation #shiftyourmindset #resilience by @bluefairy21

Some days, the gym is the only place the noise stops.
We don’t just lift to build bodies. We lift to survive the thoughts that try to tear us down. Every heavy rep, every grueling mile—it’s a physical battle against an invisible enemy. If you are carrying a heavy heart, anxiety, or pain today, don’t bury it. Channel it. Turn that hurt into absolute strength. You are not broken. You are just under construction. Keep fighting. 💪🏽😉

From “I can’t swim” to the starting line of my first T100 triathlon (2km 🏊‍♀️80km 🚴‍♀️18km🏃‍♀️)

For a long time, the water was my “can’t.” I simply did not know how to swim. I had fear of the open water. The goal felt too big, too deep, and completely out of reach.
But I decided to change my mindset. Thanks to my friend who signed me up for my first sprint triathlon @altheamerced I didn’t had a choice but to do it. But it served as a goal to work on… to achieve.
It did not happen overnight. It took absolute commitment to show up when it was hard especially with the shifting schedule in the hospital. It took perseverance to keep kicking when I wanted to quit. Reminding myself to relax & breathe with every stroke despite ingesting pool & sea water most of the time. I remember getting bullied in the pool by bunch of 7 years old swimmers), but It didn’t break me, it made me wanna learn more.
Most importantly, I didn’t do it alone. Surrounded by the right people, my fitfam @3fstriders and guided by incredible coaches, my “can’t” slowly turned into a “can. @edenuy_tri @wilmorn31 @dandydayrays @jarules88 @tri.with.coachk @innaaaii
Until I found my self on the starting line of my first full T100 Triathlon.

If there is something you think you can’t do, add the word “yet.” Trust the process, find your team, and drop the “t.

You have the power over your mind—not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.

Focus on the variables you own:
🎯 Your effort
🎯 Your attitude
🎯 Your consistency
Let everything else go.

Working out before a 12-hour night shift is highly beneficial because it boosts your energy, reduces stress, and protects your body from injury. It prepares you both mentally and physically for a long, demanding night of caring for tiny, fragile patients.

1. Fights Fatigue and Brain Fog
Exercising before your shift increases blood flow and releases endorphins. This gives you an immediate energy boost and sharpens your concentration.

2. Lowers Stress and Anxiety
Exercise lowers your body’s stress hormones, like cortisol and adrenaline. A pre-shift workout acts as a mental “reset button,” allowing you to walk into the hospital feeling calm, patient, and emotionally ready to support your patients.

3. Resets Your Body Clock
Exercising in the late afternoon or early evening helps shift your internal body clock to a nighttime schedule. It signals to your brain that it is time to be awake and active. This makes it easier to stay awake during the toughest parts of the night, such as the 3:00 AM.

4. Leads to Better Sleep Post-Shift
If you workout after a long night shift, the sudden burst of energy can keep you awake when you need to go to bed. Working out before your shift burns off physical energy early. By the time you get home the next morning, your body will be genuinely ready for deep, restorative sleep.

5. Protects Against Injury
Working in a NICU involves a lot of leaning over incubators, standing for long hours, and holding precise postures. A workout warms up your muscles and joints. This builds physical endurance and protects your back, neck, and shoulders from strain and pain. #prenightshiftworkout

A quick reminder for you today:
While you are sitting there questioning “am I good enough?”...Somebody else is out there using you as their inspiration.
Never underestimate the power of your own story. Your quiet wins, your daily hustle, and your resilience matter more than you know. You are making an impact just by being you. #inspiration #youareenough #selflove❤️ #mindset #keepgoing by @bluefairy21

Some days, the weights feel heavy. But the mental weight feels heavier.
Moving iron is how I prove to myself that I can withstand the pressure. It’s where I reclaim my power, one breath, one rep at a time. #mentalresilience #mindset #fitnessmotivation #empoweredwomen #fitnesslife by @bluefairy21

They thought 40 meant slowing down. We’re just getting started. Age isn’t a limitation; it’s a foundation. Every rep is proof that commitment doesn’t have an expiration date.
