My article on 40 years of Blue Velvet directed by David Lynch is in the new 5th issue of @phantasmagpress !! Was so honored to be the blue girl given the task of summing up such a classic in just 1000 words. Order an issue! Print mags 4 ever! 💙 by @blueghosts
‘Obsession’ star Inde Navarrette reflects on the challenges of playing her terrifying character, Nikki. Speaking to @blueghosts at the LA premiere, the actress, who is receiving widespread critical acclaim for her performance, also discussed how ‘Obsession’ causing sleepless nights is a way of “passing forward” the experience she had watching ‘Hereditary’. Curry Barker’s film follows a timid young man (Michael Johnston) who uses a novelty toy called a One Wish Willow to ask for his crush (Inde Navarrette) to fall in love with him, but disastrous consequences follow. ‘Obsession’ is now playing in cinemas. #obsession #indenavarrette #currybarker #horrormovie #horrormovies by @blueghosts
Diablo Cody spoke with Phantasmag at the premiere of ‘Forbidden Fruits’ about what attracted her to producing the “unpredictable” film, her love of horror comedies, and why she fought to keep the iconic ‘Jennifer’s Body’ kissing scene in the final cut. ‘Forbidden Fruits’ hits US and Canada theatres this Friday. #forbiddenfruits #jennifersbody #lisafrankenstein #diablocody #horrormovie by @blueghosts
Maika Monroe teases the ‘It Follows’ sequel and says she “can’t wait” for fans to see it. Speaking with Phantasmag at the premiere of ‘Victorian Psycho’, the scream queen (‘Longlegs’, ‘Watcher’) expressed her excitement at returning to the world of the 2014 cult classic with the highly anticipated follow-up, titled ‘They Follow’. The actress added that she’s “such a fan” of her ‘They Follow’ co-star Naomi Ackie, who can currently be seen in the hit DC film ‘Clayface’, and called director David Robert Mitchell “one of [her] favourite directors [she’s] ever worked with.” Monroe next stars in ‘Victorian Psycho’, the Gothic horror comedy adapting Virginia Feito’s celebrated 2025 novel of the same name. Taking on the title role, she plays a sinister governess who arrives at a remote manor, where the employees start mysteriously disappearing one by one. ‘Victorian Psycho’ opens in US theatres on November 13th. #horror #horrormovies #itfollows #maikamonroe #horrormovie by @blueghosts

In order of appearance: -Unmasked Part 25 (1989) -Video Violence (1987) -Halloween: Resurrection (2002) -Tales from the Crypt Season 2, Episode 9: Four-Sided Triangle (1990) -Frankenhooker (1990) -Bride of Chucky (1998) And YES instagram did remove this the first time because of Tiffany the doll’s plastic backside by @blueghosts
After a month of researching, writing and meticulously watching and rewatching hours of footage, I have FINALLY finished my giant Substack piece that walks you through the entire legacy of Chris Hansen (from a very critical lens). 40k words that span a 20+ year career, from the perspective of someone who has experienced the exact kind of predation Chris Hansen built his career on, and used to be a big fan. My piece examines all the iterations of his predator stings, copycat pred hunters, cultural sentiments surrounding his work and features interviews with both a director of a documentary that is critical of Chris and a former To Catch a Predator Decoy. I ask what happens when a problem that plagues the anxieties of a society such as predation is turned into entertainment, what this entertainment really does for survivors and who it really serves. Though it’s long I hope you give it a read! It’s kind of my magnum opus. by @blueghosts

“Instruments for operating on mutant women” from David Cronenberg’s “Dead Ringers”. So basically it’s gynecological tools for crazy mutant vaginas that I made out of sculpey doll clay. (Other pics were my references). Gonna make more Cronenberg clay items this month. I didn’t make all of the tools cause it was hard and I didn’t feel like it 😋 by @blueghosts
