Your cholesterol panel says “normal.” Your arteries might disagree.

A standard lipid panel measures how much cholesterol is inside your LDL, not how many particles are actually out there. And it’s the particle count that drives plaque.

What I look at instead:
• ApoB: the real count of atherogenic particles
• Lp(a): genetic, and usually never tested
• hsCRP: inflammation in the vessel wall

You can have a “normal” LDL and still have high ApoB. That’s how people get blindsided by heart disease.

Ask your doctor for advanced lipid testing. It’s a simple blood draw, and it changes the picture.

Save this for your next lab visit ♥️ by @bluepathlongevity

PhenoAge Predicts Post-Surgery Mortality Risk Better Than Chronological Age

There was recently a study of over 430,000 surgical patients across the UK, US, and South Korea that found PhenoAge, a biological age calculation from blood work, predicts death within a year after surgery. Fast agers had about 50% higher mortality risk than same-age peers, independent of standard factors like frailty and comorbidities. While no trial has proven lowering PhenoAge reduces risk, it’s a strong signal we need to consider.

Key takeaway: Don’t focus on your chronological age, focus on your biological age! by @bluepathlongevity

City lights and good company ♥️

One of my favorite stats in longevity research: people with strong social bonds have about a 50% greater chance of survival than those with weak ones. That’s not a small study either. It held up across nearly 150 studies pooled together.

Harvard’s decades long study on adult development put it even more bluntly: loneliness is as damaging as smoking or heavy drinking.

And it’s not just a feeling. People with deep, consistent support networks actually age more slowly at the cellular level.

So take a break from the work you do. Surround yourself with good company, real conversation, actually be present. That’s an evidence backed longevity intervention with no lab draw required. by @bluepathlongevity

“You’re an anesthesiologist, why are you talking about longevity?”

Honestly? Because the OR is where the foundations of longevity medicine started for me.

1. Surgery is the ultimate stress test. Before I give any medication, I’m thinking about how your body will handle hours of physiologic stress — how your heart responds when pushed, how well you oxygenate, how your organs clear what I give you. One of the simplest predictors of how you’ll do? Whether you can move through everyday life without struggling. Climb two flights of stairs without stopping? Carry groceries in without getting winded? That’s a rough measure of your physiologic reserve — the same thing I’m assessing on the table. If daily life is already taxing your body, surgery will tax it harder. This is why the foundations matter — diet, movement, sleep. Not wellness trends. They’re quietly building (or depleting) the reserve your body needs when it matters most.

2. Age is just a number. What’s happening inside you is the real story. I’ve had 70-year-olds stay rock steady through a long case — stable heart rate, stable blood pressure, minimal support needed — while 50-year-olds needed far more from me to get through the same length surgery. So if someone tells you you’re “too old” for a procedure, don’t take that at face value. And if you’re young and think surgery is “no big deal,” don’t skip getting metabolically healthy beforehand. I care about your organs, vessels, and metabolism — not your birth year.

3. I’ve been practicing precision medicine since residency — I just didn’t call it that. Every case, I titrate medication to your physiology in real time — weight, organ function, hemodynamics in that exact moment — adjusting on the fly if something changes. No standard dose for everyone. That’s the whole job.

This is the lens I bring into longevity medicine: I’ve spent my career watching, in real time, what actually determines how someone comes through the hardest physical moments. That’s why I care about what you’re doing today — years before you’d ever need to be on my table. by @bluepathlongevity

Your annual physical is not enough. Most people come in thinking they’re healthy, and by conventional standards, they may be. But when we dig deeper and test things like VO₂ Max, biomarkers, and metabolic health, the real story emerges.

A comprehensive longevity assessment finds what’s silently working against you before it becomes a problem.

As someone who was told she had PCOS as a teenager, I remember thinking it meant nothing more than cysts on my ovaries.

I had no idea about the deeper metabolic implications. No one talked to me about insulin resistance, inflammation, cardiovascular risk, or how connected it all is to long-term health and aging.

What I’ve since learned is that PMOS is not just a reproductive condition; it’s a metabolic condition that can impact the entire body. And for so many women, especially South Asian women, those risks are even higher.

South Asian women are more prone to PMOS, insulin resistance, visceral adiposity, and other metabolic conditions, often at younger ages and lower BMIs. Yet many of us grow up without the education, screening, or conversations we deserve.

Knowledge is power.
Understanding your body is power.
Testing is power.

When you have the right insights, you can be proactive instead of reactive. You can optimize your health, advocate for yourself, and redefine how you age. ✨

GLP-1s are showing to be more than for weight loss. 🫁

New real-world data from AAAAI 2026 of 89,000 patients showed fewer asthma attacks, fewer COPD hospitalizations, even in people who weren’t overweight. That’s your lung tissue responding directly to the medication.

Your metabolic health touches everything. Heart. Brain. Lungs. At our longevity center, I look at the whole picture. Because that’s what it takes to truly optimize your health. by @bluepathlongevity

Reproductive health is more than a moment, it’s a lifelong conversation.

After grounding in movement, we came together to explore fertility not just as a path to pregnancy, but as a reflection of hormone balance, longevity, and whole-person wellness. From Pilates to integrative care, this conversation reminds us that how we move, regulate, and care for ourselves every day matters.

Grateful to learn alongside incredible experts: Dr. Roohi Jeelani, Dr. Syeda Ahmed, and Dr. Kate Phillippi—each bringing a powerful perspective on caring for reproductive health earlier, more holistically, and with intention.

Because understanding your body isn’t just empowering: it’s essential.

Special thank you to ONTO Health & BluePath Longevity for sponsoring such an incredible opportunity for women of all backgrounds to gather and start the conversation.
