Book overview
It began in a room beneath the Kremlin.
A Russian oligarch. An American financier. A plan to reshape the world's greatest democracy from within.
When Warren Thornberry wins the presidency, few suspect that his rise was engineered by foreign powers and funded by dark money. But Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist James Whitmore has been following the trail of corruption for years—and he's about to publish the story that will expose everything.
Before he can, federal agents drag him from his home in the middle of the night.
Within months, martial law grips the nation. Detention camps fill with political prisoners. Dissent becomes treason. And on a sunny October morning, forty-seven Americans are gunned down on the National Mall for the crime of peaceful protest.
Now, as the world watches in horror, an unlikely alliance must form: a Nigerian general who once trained alongside American soldiers, a resistance leader who refuses to surrender hope, a military commander forced to choose between his oath and his orders, and a family torn apart by a government that has declared war on its own people.
Some will not survive. All will be changed forever.
SHATTERED ORDER is a heart-pounding thriller that asks the question we never thought we'd face: What happens when democracy dies—and what does it take to bring it back? by @bluepitome69
