A little love from back home! 💙

I recently caught up with Jonathan Turner at @wvikqc to talk about my work on Come From Away at @fordstheatre my journey from the Quad Cities to stages around the country, and a few of the people and experiences that have helped me along the way.

It’s been a wonderful experience bringing this production to life with such a talented group of people, including the opportunity to work with Come From Away co-creator @irenesankoff.

Grateful to Jonathan and WVIK for taking the time to share my story, and to the Quad Cities community that gave me my start.

Heaven gained an angel last night. ❤️

My beautiful grandmother, Joyce Eileen Moss, passed away last night.

Anyone who knew her knew what an incredible woman she was. She was one of a kind, always loving, always proud, and somehow still smiling even near the very end.

She is a huge part of the reason I am who I am today. She’s the reason I play piano. Some of my earliest and happiest memories are at her apartment, spending hours playing around on the keyboard, listening to her play, and just being with her. Her home was one of my safest places as a kid. I think about the little things too. Trips to McDonald’s, going to movies and shows together, and all those ordinary afternoons that mean so much more to me now.

As I got older, I got to return some of that love by bringing her into my world. She came to so many of my shows, concerts, and performances, and she was always so proud of me.

I’ll never forget one night when I was performing with Tubbs and Moss. I had brought Grandma with me to the gig, and during sound check we ran through “Unchained Melody.” I looked over and saw her crying. I knew the song had taken her somewhere deeply personal. That moment has stayed with me ever since.

I feel so lucky that music gave us a way to connect throughout my entire life. She gave me that love in the first place, and now I get to carry a piece of her with me every time I sit down at a piano, conduct a show, or make music for somebody else.

There’s something heartbreaking but also strangely fitting about going into a two-show day today knowing that she finally gets to watch me again. She isn’t trapped in a bed anymore.

Of all the people in the world, this loss hits harder than most.

Today’s shows are for you, Grandma. Thank you for giving me music, for giving me a safe place, and for loving me so completely.

I love you. ❤️ by @bluesinmossflat

Happy Opening to COME FROM AWAY at Ford’s Theatre! ✈️💙 @fordstheatre

Ten years after this beautiful show first took flight at Ford’s, it’s pretty special to be bringing it back to the stage where it all began. Even more special that this is my first production here!

I’m incredibly grateful to @calokikev, @katyneedsinsta, @ricardobaritenor, and @justineicymoral for their collaboration, creativity, and trust throughout this process. And to our phenomenal cast, band, music department, and everyone behind the scenes, thank you for making the last several weeks such a joy.

Getting to lead this incredible group of musicians, play a little accordion, and help tell a story about kindness, community, and the extraordinary things people can do for one another has been a real privilege.

So proud of this company and everything we’ve built together. Here’s to a wonderful run!

Everybody say YEAH. 👠

Had an absolute blast playing Keys 2 with Kinky Boots @kinkybootsontour these last two weeks at Broadway in Chicago. Getting to make this much joyful, affirming music during Pride felt pretty special. Not to mention watching @ndsilverman and @thomasedpurvis shine SO brightly on stage every night. ❤️

Huge thanks to the touring company, band, MD @thecalebmiddleton, AMD @marcsokolson, and contractor @keysdoctor88 for having me.

Feeling very grateful for these two weeks and the people who made them so much fun.

A year in pictures! (Which I take far too few of)

2025 was by far one of the craziest years of my life. From Book of Mormon, moving to Chicago and rocking out with The Kinks, to a crazy summer of playing and friends, settling into fall in Arden, and finished my year saying hello to the Mormons again (a pleasant surprise).

Overall there is much to be thankful for, and so many people I am grateful for. Too many to list. Chicago has been a breath of life and new inspiration for me, and I'm so very excited to see what 2026 brings!

If you need me, I'll be in rehearsal 😉

1. Sal Tlay Ka Siti (happy trails to me)
2. Laminated paper
3. The Yard at @chicagoshakes
4. Rock and Roll rehearsal

Today we close Sunny Afternoon, and with it, a chapter that's been one of the most meaningful of my musical life.

After years on the road with The Book of Mormon, I took a leap into the unknown... and somehow landed exactly where I was meant to be. Chicago, this company, and this show have been nothing short of magic.

Endless thanks to Elliott Ware (the one and only Rocklord) for your brilliant leadership and trust. To @heather_boehm who opened the door to this incredible new chapter. To Ed Hall, @mradamrcooper and @emilygoodenough1 for building the world we got to live in every night.

To @theshredabilly for every downbeat and every laugh, and to @celia.villacres for your friendship and endless support. To the full cast, crew, creative team, and my fellow musicians... you gave this story its heartbeat.

And to @chicagoshakes thank you for giving me a place to grow and belong.

This isn't just the end of a show... it's a reminder that sometimes the biggest risks lead to the greatest rewards. 🎶

Big news and a dream gig!

After a whirlwind few weeks settling into Chicago, I’m thrilled to take on the role of Music Director for Sunny Afternoon: The Story of The Kinks at @chicagoshakes.

Growing up with a deep love for classic rock, I’ve always admired how The Kinks shaped music history—their raw energy, sharp storytelling, and unmistakable sound influenced generations. Getting to bring their music to life on stage feels both exciting and surreal.

Chicago already feels like home, and I can’t wait to share this show with audiences here. If you love great music, rebellious spirit, and a damn good story, this one's for you. See you at Navy Pier!

And just like that... it's all over. 😭

As I sit here reflecting on the past two and a half years, I’m overwhelmed with pride and tears of joy. How lucky I’ve been to have something so extraordinary be such a significant part of my life for so long. The Book of Mormon was nothing short of a dream come true for me, challenging me in countless ways to grow as a person, musician, and leader.

The lessons I’ve learned along the way will stay with me forever. I’ve built friendships and relationships that I know will last a lifetime. I’ve traveled across North America and witnessed some of the most breathtaking sights this beautiful continent has to offer. This show reminded me that life has so much more to give than I ever thought I deserved.

I am beyond grateful for the chance to make my small mark on something as remarkable as The Book of Mormon. Choosing to move on has been the hardest decision of my life, but growth comes from embracing the unknown.

To my Book of Mormon family: I love each and every one of you. Thank you for making the last six years of my life truly “something incredible.”
