📚 Bookshelf Tour 📚

I’m finally back with my babies! (Is it weird that I call my books my babies? Honestly, with the amount of money I spend on them, they might as well be. Please tell me I’m not the only one who does this 😅)

Anyway, I spent a couple of hours this morning rearranging everything and adding my new books to the shelf, so of course I had to share it with you guys. I know the rainbow shelf is considered a "has-been" trend, but honestly? I still love color-coordinating everything, so I'm embracing it 100%.

If you’re seeing this post, take it as your sign to rearrange your own bookshelves! And tell me in the comments how you like to organize yours: by color, genre, author, vibe?

Side note: I added an AI mention because my camera decided to wake up and choose violence today. It just wouldn’t cooperate, so I had to use an AI tool in Lightroom to remove a ridiculous amount of grain from the photos. Thank you, camera, for this delightful little photographic adventure and an even more delightful editing session 🙃 Manifesting that it works properly tomorrow! 🙏✨ by @bluetyfloreads_

Thank you so much to @aleahs_books for tagging me in the Black Book Stack Challenge!

I figured if we’re doing black covers, why not go all black and white? Honestly, I think these photos turned out pretty awesome (despite Instagram’s abysmal format). That said, I’m definitely craving a little color now… so maybe I’ll do another one soon with a pop of something bright thrown in.🩷

I’m tagging a few people too! You can either create your own black stack or just share a few of your favorite books with black covers.

🩵ARC Review + Release Shoutout🩵

Today marks the release of what is definitely one of my favorite books of the year. You know when you go blindly into a book, expecting a fun little sports/small town romance, and then you end up going through two packs of tissues because you can’t stop crying? Yep, that was me. I was hit with way more emotional damage than I was remotely prepared for (scratch that, I wasn’t prepared at all).

And that’s exactly what this book is like. So, pick it up at your own risk… but honestly, I highly recommend you do!

Side note: Shoutout to @whatnelareads — one of my favorite people to follow for book edits and bookstagram inspo! She totally inspired the style for this post. 🩵✨

Talk about an explosive start to the year!!🤯

Between the BTS tour announcement and ticket sales (which, btw, I WON, we’re seeing them in Brussels and Paris!!), and me suddenly being in a seriously intense fantasy reading mood… I’ve never read five fantasy books back-to-back before! Surprise, hello the year of fantasy?? I don’t know about you, but I’m loving 2026 so far!❤️‍🔥

I was supposed to post this last week, so it’s not totally up-to-date, but here are some quick notes on the books I’ve read recently:

The Irresistible Urge to Fall for Your Enemy: really enjoyed it!

The Game Gods Play: absolutely loved it, obsessed! Can’t wait for book two to arrive.

I did have a couple of disappointments:

Of Wing and Blood: the setting gave me strong Fourth Wing vibes, but I couldn’t connect with either the female or male character.

Fruit of the Flesh: DNF’d at 57%, which is way longer than my usual. Do you usually review books you DNF? I’m on the fence about giving my opinion here.

Blood of Hercules: the setting, characters, world-building, and story, brilliant, but the writing style was a bit hard for me to get into.

Anyway, I want to hear from you, what are you reading right now? More into fantasy novels, light contemporary reads, or maybe venturing into the dark side of romance??👀

Here are some easy romance books tropes to start with!
Although, to be fair, the recommendations I chose aren’t easy at all 😭 Like, how do you say, “You want a college romance? Try Unsteady, you’ll probably cry and feel emotionally wrecked, but hey, it’s still a college romance!”

I also had another realization: I kind of knew that friends-to-lovers isn’t my favorite trope, but I didn’t realize just how few books with this trope I’ve actually read. So if you have any good friends-to-lovers recommendations, I’ll gladly take them!!

And on that note, I would also love some he falls first book recs, because once again I didn’t realize how many books with that trope I love!! Please give me more ❤️

In 2026, my main goal is to read the books I actually want to read, sooo it’s all about keeping my TBR realistic!!

Also, on a side note, I really need to start reading my physical TBR very soon, and at some point do an unhaul, because I’m two steps away from drowning in books!! 📚
I mean, when I realized I have three packages arriving this week alone… yeah, that was a bit of a reality check. I think. 😅

Anyway, here’s also a little preview of my reading journal! I’m still working on it, but it might be my favorite setup so far 👀✨

What about you guys? What goals have you set for yourselves this year, and what are you reading in January? 🌨️

What better way to start a new year than with some book recommendations that feel like a✨New Beginning✨!?

In these books, all the characters embark on more or less a new journey and I can't help but feel that each new year is exactly that: a new journey, a leap into the scary unknown. Whether it's fantasy, fiction, or even real life, following that journey is one hell of a thrilling experience!

This year, I personally want to enjoy the ride instead of planning every step and then feeling disappointed when I don't keep up. I don't want to forget to look around, to be grateful, and to be happy at each stage along the way.
And that mindset applies to both my life and my reading journey.📚

Since we've gotten a little personal here, tell me: what's one thing you regretted last year and absolutely want to change this year? And which of your favorite books gives you that new beginning feeling?🩷

Late as always, but at this point you guys know I’m chronically late for everything!! Without further ado, my December Hopefuls (or TBR, depending on what you prefer)❤️

At this point, I’m still hopeful that I’ll finish at least one book from my TBR!! I also need some people to hold me accountable and remind me not to stray toward other books!!

Anyway, I really agonized over what to add to this list because December is such a weird month to make plans for. Everyone has a schedule, and we’re all playing that game of “find the one free date where everyone can get together.” So in my moodiness and overplanning, I tried to include a mix of fantasy, contemporary romance, and dark romance so that I have choices for every occasion!!

So what about you? How do you plan your December, is it even possible to plan a December?? And what’s on your TBR? Do we have any books in common?👀✨

Also, unpopular opinion, but I love red, gold, and black for December!!Okay bye! 🫣

Mountain Grump book edits 🏔️💛

Honestly, one of the hardest things is planning multiple spreads for a book and then only having time to finish a couple! But hey, at least I’m having so much fun with the ones I do get to create. I hope you guys love them too! 😘

The ending of this series feels so bittersweet… I absolutely adored all the books and every single mountain man @sjtillyauthor brought to life for us! And the animals, because truly, how could we ever forget the animals? I had such a blast with this world, and if you haven’t picked up the series yet and you think it might be your vibe (mountain daddy types hopelessly in love with their quirky, chaotic women), don’t hesitate to dive in!

Huge thank you to @valentine_pr_ and @sjtillyauthor for the ARC copy! 🥰

Single Dad Dilemma, Bookish Edit!!💖

I had the absolute pleasure of reading this book early, and today you can finally grab it too! If you love a grumpy x grumpy single dad romance, I highly recommend you pick this one up.

I had so much fun reading Barrett’s story and meeting Lily, watching all the trouble the twins managed to get into. This book took me on such an emotional ride, happy, sad, heartbroken, and everything in between. And seeing Ruby and Griffin again was such a treat! If you haven’t read the first book yet, definitely add it to your list, it was one of my favorites of the year.
Even though this wasn’t a five-star read for me, I still couldn’t recommend it more!

As for this post… honestly, I’m in a bit of a creative slump right now. I tried doing some artistic Photoshop edits like @mamihlapinatapei_x and ellereadsss, but it didn’t really pull me out of it, and the edits didn’t quite hit the way I wanted them to. I like them, but something just feels off, you know?

Still, I really wanted to give this new release a shout-out, and hopefully it convinces you to add it to your TBR!! ✨

As someone who could never keep up with a TBR, I think I finally found the right combination!!🔥

Anyway, pray for me that this one sticks, because ever since I started school again and walk past a bookstore every morning and evening, it has significantly affected the number of books I’ve added to my physical TBR lately. So I really need this one to work!😅

Anyway, how’s your TBR doing? Manageable or totally out of control? And what about your November hopefuls, got any set yet, or still deciding what’s your vibe this month?✨

Am I absolutely excited for what’s to come? Yes, I am!!
Here are the cover reveals for some books that I’m really excited about!✨

Honestly, I didn’t know what to post today since I had a pretty bad reading week, not because I didn’t read, but because I didn’t really enjoy the books I picked up. So, I’m looking toward the future instead!

Anyway, we have a mix of fantasy and contemporary romance to look forward to next year (mostly)!

Quick question: are you more of a fan of people covers or graphic covers? Personally, I’m kind of bored of graphic covers lately. For this selection at least, the people covers are just so much more gorgeous. I’m also a bit sad that most authors are now releasing the people covers only as ebook versions and not physical copies anymore!

So, are you excited for these books? Are there any others you’re looking forward to next year?💜
