A year ago today, we recorded this little song you may have heard called “Good Place”.

I wrote this song a few years ago and put it in my back pocket. The Lord didn’t tell me to record it for my album, so I didn’t think much of it after writing it. When BLU asked me for song submissions I never would’ve imagined this is the song that got picked and that it would’ve gone this far lol. But the timing was right. I’m enjoying the testimonies of how this song is blessing people all over the world.

This past Sunday, I got a chance to play for my bro @itsofficiallyanthony . He asked me to jump on the organ so he could direct the choir for this song, and this is what happened BEFORE the song even started 😂😂.

I’m not gonna lie, it felt SO good to be back on the organ on a Sunday morning with a FULL BAND! I haven’t done that in over a year, and I definitely didn’t realize how much I missed it until I was sitting behind those keys again.

That church sound with a full band hit different!

Well, @blujaylucas & I officially had our first FUN DAY in VA! We grabbed some good food, made a mall run, and ended the day at Topgolf! 🏌🏾‍♂️🔥

Fellas, there’s nothing wrong with being present for your kids. 💯 Being a father is something I take serious. As much as I love making music, playing keys, singing, and being on somebody’s musical… I love being a DAD even more.

Being a full time father isn’t always easy, but I wouldn’t trade these moments for anything. Watching my son grow, creating memories, laughing, and just being there that’s the real blessing.

New city. New chapter. Same Dad.

Today is a day I will always remember. Today is my Uncle Volley’s birthday.

Since he left us in 2022, I honestly haven’t really picked up the bass like that. Hell, I even sold two of my bass guitars. But today, I had to pick it back up.

Uncle Volley, you are truly missed. But one thing I know for sure your sound will never die. Every time I touch those strings, I’ll always hear a piece of you.

I’m really gonna miss Joe Derrico & Latter Rain. ❤️‍🩹

Now that I’ve had a chance to sit down and really think about it, this was the first choir I ever got the opportunity to play every instrument in. I started on drums, then moved to bass, then organ and auxiliary.

A lot of people don’t know this, but Joe is one of the main reasons I can play keys and organ today. He took the time to pour into me, teach me, challenge me, and give me opportunities that helped shape the musician I am today.

Joe, thank you for believing in me, trusting me, and taking the time to invest in me. I’ll forever be grateful for the lessons, the opportunities, the music, and most importantly, the brotherhood.

Latter Rain will always hold a special place in my heart and musical career.

Thank you for everything, Joe. This chapter may be closing, but the impact will live with me forever.

Moved to Michigan at 2.
