“Walking through the corridors of history at the Slave Trade Museum and the First Storey Building in Badagry, Nigeria. Badagry was once a major port during the transatlantic slave trade, where countless African lives were uprooted and sold into slavery across the ocean. Standing in the cells where men, women, and children were held before their forced journey was a sobering reminder of a painful past that must never be forgotten. As an eco-tourist, I believe in traveling not just to see, but to learn, reflect, and respect the heritage and struggles of every destination.”.
