What started as making visuals for their music turned into projects for NASA, album art for pop stars, and massive 3D billboards across the globe. 🚀

For this Artist Spotlight, NYC art duo @blunt_action brings “Windows of Insight” to The Canopy, blending ancient wisdom with futuristic digital art to give us a visual cue to look up and reflect.

“If you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss also gazes into you.” —Friedrich Nietzsche 👁️

These days, looking at our cell phones often feels like staring into the abyss. But overhead on The Canopy, @blunt_action flips the gaze with “Windows of Insight” featuring giant portraits of Plato, Confucius, W.E.B. Du Bois, and other thinkers whose ideas built how we see the world.

So put the phone down, step outside, and come stand under the “windows.”

From meeting at a party, to making music, to posting digital art every single day until the world took notice. Colby Hampton and Ethan Jakab built @blunt_action from the ground up.

Now, the NYC art duo is taking over album covers, giant 3D billboards, and massive displays across the globe.

“You can't use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.”
Maya Angelou ✨

New York–based art duo @blunt_action brings us “Windows of Insight,” an invitation to pause and contemplate the wisdom of history’s greatest minds. From forced-perspective 3D billboards in Times Square to giant overhead displays on The Canopy, Ethan and Colby continue to push the boundaries of digital art.

“Windows of Insight” provides a moment to contemplate the thoughts and ideas passed down to us from the greatest thinkers of our past.

Art duo @blunt_action made a name for themselves doing forced-perspective digital art for giant billboards, and they wanted to bring that ethos to a more contemplative piece for The Canopy.

Now, as technology accelerates all around us, Blunt Action has given us this visual cue to look up, contemplate our own place in the world, and, perchance, the legacy our generation will leave behind.
