As a Radio Dj he championed an enormous array of talent, inc hosting freestyles from many then-unsigned hip hop artists such as Nas, Big Pun, Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, Fat Joe, Cam’ron, DMX, Wu-Tang Clan, Fugees, Talib Kweli, Big L and The Notorious B.I.G. He put legends such as MFDoom and Kool Keith out on his record label. He is also a king on the BBall Court and acclaimed film maker. Bob is such a positive influence in the culture. We are so grateful he took the time to send us some of his positive vibes.

For the second @codyfrostmusic pair we were given a pair of the #adidasSuperstar London from @adidasoriginals to work with…

Although the original pair has a punk aesthetic, Cody is from Burnley. So we decided to rebuild the pair using elements of the original and adding some of our own…

We removed the London heel tabs and created new ones from the chopped up upper. Complete with original stitch and foiled branded elements. We took the tartan tongue lining and made it centre stage..

The upper was branded in gold and Cody’s gauntlet tattoo. Cody had provided this artwork for our two projects together. We applied it to a waxy black upper and added red contrast stitching..

We adapted the last used and created a new pattern to assemble our new and old parts…

We love Cody’s tattoo doodle so much we incorporated this on the hang tag…

We used a section of the upper that’s joined with a zigzag stitch, normally hidden by the middle stripe, to create a new toe box. Cutting and sanding the original shell toe piece in half. You can view our process in the next slide …

Just in time for @codyfrostmusic performing at @gobeyondmcr, @1x1workshop properly went PUNK DIY on this #adidasSuperstar London custom. Deconstructing and reconstructing with Cody’s #mechaevil gauntlet tattoo. We caught up with Cody before the show and she decided to rock them that night! So sick! What a performance❗️❗️❗️
