POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This is a comic @imahtabrezaee and I created, featured in @coinoppress
Our comic explores the theme of “period” and the censorship and stigma surrounding menstruation in Iran. As Mahtab writes:

“Because even a shopkeeper hiding my pads in a black plastic bag makes my blood boil.”

Something as natural as menstruation is still treated as something to hide, even in the simplest everyday interactions. This comic is important to both of us because we believe that women everywhere deserve to exist without shame surrounding their bodies.

There is no reason to hide our periods. There is nothing to be ashamed of. There never was. ❤️ by @bluonia

Just a lil comic from the things I felt during these 12 days. Hopefully, it’s all over now, no more boom boom or doop doop, fingers crossed.

There are some narration mistakes I plan to fix in a future redraw.
I’ll also be drawing some memories and feelings as comic and call them “Dust Bunny Diaries” 🫐💙

Update 07.03.2026 : it’s not long since I drew this, but here we are under a pressure and war again:) by @bluonia

Love. What a strange thing.

Shadi craved it more than anything, to be seen, adored, unforgettable. She wanted to walk into a room and leave with every heart beating just a little faster because of her. She chased admiration the way others chased survival.

Men came and went. One after another. Shadi never lingered long enough to wonder what she left behind. Their feelings were never meant to matter.

This mission would be no different.

She had been raised for this. Shaped for it. A spy couldn’t afford attachments. An agent with someone to lose was an agent already halfway defeated. The same was true for him.

Davood was just another assignment.

Just another name in a file.

Just another heart she’d borrow before walking away.

…Right? by @bluonia
