Blending neo-soul, alternative pop and hip-hop, Talicia has been building her name through her discography and has already landed herself on Heart FM. Her music draws from contemporary sounds and classic influences, with vulnerability and personal experience at the centre of her songwriting.

Smooth vocals, serious range and a sound that’s uniquely hers. 🥹

Supporting us on the 27th is musician & violinist @helen_.liu 🎻

Helen is a third-year BMus student under Professor Farida Bacharova, and an accomplished violinist who has competed and performed at some serious levels. 😭

She was a SAMRO Hubert van der Spuy National Music Competition finalist & Strings Prizewinner, a Victoria K Bennett Music Competition finalist, runner-up and category winner, and a National Youth Music Competition semi-finalist & prizewinner, where she received the Polina Burdukova Prize as Strings Runner-Up in 2022. ✨️

She’s also performed with the Rand Symphony Orchestra, Johannesburg Symphony Orchestra, Free State Symphony Orchestra and Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, and participated in the Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival from 2023–2025. 🔥🔥

And if that wasn’t enough — Helen performed alongside Black Coffee and Nduduzo Makhathini at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival in 2025. 👀

She’ll be bringing those strings to the stage on 27 September @ Trade Bar & Social with BLVQ IRIS & The Crossroads 🎻✨️
