And that’s a wrap, 25 DC done & dusted, no bigger reward to bring Home to say thanks to everyone who makes this happen for me, #1.12000km driven, approx 1900L Diesel, 200H in the car, 15 different beds, 14 pub meals, 12 Bain Marie fried potato and roadkill! Adult hydration consumed is classified! The Ute was faultless all week, 310.95L of fuel $698.71 worth 🤦🏻‍♂️! These are only some of the photos over the week/month away. This arrived today from #streetmachinemag, it wasn’t the 1st, 2nd we’d like but will take a podium spot in 3rd.
Once again DYO was tough, bouncing from 10th - 5th to 1st and spat out again!
Last day (Day 5) we were leading the pack after near matching our predicted time 10:30pm the evening before. Day 5 gave us insane track temps reaching 65 to 70° making it hard work to get any number close to our target, the competitors struggling last night we’re pulling it together today knocking us off the top! It was a challenging week, knackered but finishing with smiles on our faces. Going into the event with a new package we learnt a lot, speeding the car up running mid 10’s, introducing a trans brake on the hand control, and a few other herbs and spices in the mix, plus one test drive on a terrible Wednesday night track before putting it on the trailer, we were pretty happy overall. Drag Challenge 2024 what a week, off the trailer to back on we done 1800km in 5 days. Holding on to first position on day 4/5 we were pimped on the line finishing in 3rd overall in DYO. 4am starts, midnight finishes what else would you want to do! Averaging 10.60’s - fastest of 10.52 @130mph the big 1720kg Ute & pie gutted driver survived the week. Catching up and meeting new people is what makes this event @streetmachinemag #dragchallenge #vzute #lstheworld by @blwnquad
