The songs inside you, the myths and magic your choices spin, the unnameable feeling your voice expresses... they are fundamental to our collective healing and transformation. We need to hear YOUR song the way YOU feel it in your soul. The way the universe sings it to you when you dream.

I'm Bly, a music producer in Provo, UT. I produce, mix, and master records with musicians who are listening to the deep tremors and quivers, who feel every ache and groan of the earth. ARTISTS who dance with every inch of the world around them, who know that life is a fertile collaborator and that mishaps are ripe opportunities...
even if it's just a chance to laugh at ourselves.

Are you committed to transforming in the unimaginable ways that all magical acts demand of us? Are you willing to plunge your heart into a deep well of raw, untethered creative power? Do you dare to walk boldly into darkness, led only by that stillness that settles in your gut when you know that this is your way?

(Or that you're ready to let out that fart you've been holding in! 🤣)

If this is you, DM me 'song'. I want to hear all about this dream of yours. I think it's important.

OUTSIDE! No better place to stick some humans with instruments and some microphones. @madelinekayharris came be with a sweet band of ne'erdowells and played a gorgeous original and then they covered Rocky Raccoon!

Thanks to @catineve for shooting video and film! Can't wait to see it.

Happy trans day of visibility, from Momma Bly, your favorite producer, carrying on a long tradition of innovative, experimental, subversive, radically-inclusive, surreal, outlandish, deeply loving creativity. ❣️

My friend @ultraelizabethholden recently died after someone attacked her. I'm processing it gradually, inconsistently, with hiccups, sometimes feeling deeply, sometimes with a powerful resistance to feeling. I don't have experience with this. I'm just living with it as it comes.

Elizabeth was a songwriter, and I loved her music. I helped her produce her album "The Difficult Ones" years ago as well as an EP called The Easy Ones.

I spent an evening last week with Elizabeth's spirit, smoking a cigar, sharing memories bright and heavy with Bella and Alex who dropped by, and recording a cover of one of her songs called "Bye" which seems to me to be an expression of her desire to be released from bodily torment without troubling anyone.

"You wouldn't be surprised to read that I died in some letter that I wrote you not to worry; don't you worry."

Here's the recording. You can also listen and download at blywallentine.bandcamp.com. Elizabeth's music is available at violettas.bandcamp.com. Please go listen.

One of the best things about working with @little.moon.music and @lil_boi_drums is the deeply satisfying journey through a vague idea toward a groove and sound that resonates and thrills us.

Not every idea sticks, and that's ok! The process is the heart of what it becomes. There is no tree without the growing. taken in Studio Studio Dada: Music Recording & Lessons by @blywallentine

@the_poppees sent me a WAV file of a song they'd recorded a while back, lost the session, didn't have stems, just a stereo WAV, but they wanted to freshen it up and give it some pep!

So I created a little twee orchestra (horns, flute, clarinet, strings!) and arranged it around what was already there. Now it's got a little extra wink and sparkle! taken in Studio Studio Dada: Music Recording & Lessons by @blywallentine

ALL SAINTS Music Festival takes place on Saturday, October 24, across 8 venues in downtown Provo. This walkable/bikeable event, in its second year, brings together more than 50 artists across an eclectic collection of performance spaces.

Born from the DIY spirit of Provo's music community and inspired by the beloved Buzzards & Bees festival, ALL SAINTS is built around a simple idea: great music happens when a community comes together to support it.

There are no headliners at ALL SAINTS. Every artist is celebrated, every artist is paid equally, and every performance is an opportunity to discover something new. From indie rock and punk to folk, hip-hop fusion, experimental music, and everything in between, the festival showcases the creativity and diversity of Utah's independent music scene.

Part of the magic is the setting. Instead of spending the night in one venue, festivalgoers can wander downtown, catch a favorite band, stumble into an unfamiliar sound, and discover the businesses and spaces that make Provo's music community unique. It's part music festival, part neighborhood block party, and entirely homegrown.

Organized collaboratively by local musicians, artists, and music supporters, ALL SAINTS is as much about building community as it is about putting on a show. It's a celebration of the people who make music, the places that give them a stage, and the audiences who keep the scene alive.

Come for the bands you know. Stay for the ones you don't.

Did you know the proposed US military budget for 2027 is $1.5 trillion? That's 1500 times a billion. What if you farted 1.5 trillion times in one year? It would smell crazy! Now imagine AI sniper drones farting 1.5 trillion times in your mouth. That's your tax money, baby.
