Little Link inks - 3rd pass. Enjoy! These lines were adjusted and cleaned up in a 4th pass which I’ll post as a single image. Threw down some base colours to play with next. A minimal background too, after I get some work work done.

Studio Ghibli study: painting the clouds took the longest! Miyazaki’s male protagonists are so focused and determined, but often selfless and courageous. I wonder if the real Jiro Horikoshi was anything like his Ghibli counterpart.

‘Kokoro Hikari / 心光’ is a @procreate painting of the amazing Uesugi Mayu’s 2021 performance at Tennoji’s unique Shinkōji (心光寺).

As a learner of Japanese, it’s easy to misread kanji combinations, but what are such words, if not our attempt to describe the sublime, transient nature of our experiences?
I hope your heart will be lit up by something today. It’s there, no matter how small or fleeting.
