Let me just put you all on right now! @bmorecenterstage is bringing the 🔥🔥🔥 this season kicking it off with an out of this world production of @pennedbypreston ‘s original piece BOCKING presented by @lenawaithe and directed by @steviewalkerwebb starring @thekalenallen @rebeccalhargrove @lancecoadie - my fav @acmoore9 @ucancallmesis and @christophersearsart

I had the opportunity of sitting at the first table read and Baby WHAT 👏🏽 A 👏🏽 READ - literally and metaphorically - this show is not to be missed!! Sassy, loud, groundbreaking, imaginative, nothing like you’ve ever seen before! Truly a little bit of something for every one…. And I mean that exactly how you think I mean it! 😜👏🏽🥵

Now @steviewalkerwebb already said the best place to hit up is @yeibohkitchen so that’s that but @thekalenallen said he’s looking for the recs and @pennedbypreston is on the hunt for some seafood so let’s see if we can make that happen for them!

August Wilson's King Hedley II
Mar 11 - Apr 11, 2027

One of the most powerful and least frequently produced works in August Wilson’s American Century Cycle, King Hedley II is a rare opportunity to experience a profound and deeply human American classic on stage.

Set in 1980s Pittsburgh, the play follows King, a man determined to build a future in a world that has given him few tools to succeed. As he struggles to reclaim dignity, stability, and purpose, Wilson lays bare the cycles of survival, love, and violence that shape a community and a nation.

Part of the citywide Baltimore August Wilson Celebration, this production continues Baltimore Center Stage’s enduring commitment to Wilson’s legacy and to stories that illuminate the complexities of Black life in America.

Starring Maryland Poet Laureate Lady Brion.

This is a landmark work from one of the greatest American playwrights of all time. Don’t miss it.

Betty Buckley and Christian Jacob in Concert!
Jan 22 & 23, 2027

Spend an evening with Tony Award winner Betty Buckley, Broadway’s original Grizabella in Cats and one of the American theater’s most beloved voices. In this intimate concert, Buckley will perform a stunning mix of Broadway classics, American Songbook favorites, and heartfelt storytelling drawn from her extraordinary career on stage and screen.

Betty will be joined by Christian Jacob, a globally acclaimed, Grammy-nominated French jazz pianist, composer, and arranger known for his post-bop modernism.

Ohio in the 1970s. Lizzie gathers a group of women to talk about changing their lives and the world. What follows is a necessary, messy, and bitingly funny exploration of what it means to be free and to be a woman.

In Liberation, Lizzie’s daughter steps into her mother’s memory—into the unfinished revolution she once helped ignite—and searches the past to find the answer for herself.

Written by Tony Award winner Bess Wohl (Grand Horizons) and directed by Obie Award winner Taibi Magar, Liberation is a refreshingly irreverent and intensely relevant powerhouse of a play about what we inherit, what we forget, and what we’re still fighting to understand.
