After a nomination process that came down to a single vote (or possibly a slice of pound cake), the chapter has spoken. June’s Runner of the Month is @tbow85 ! 🏃🏾‍♂️🏆

A longtime chapter member, Tim continues to embody what BMR is all about; consistency, resilience, brotherhood, and trusting the process. Through injuries, setbacks, and comebacks, he keeps showing up and getting stronger. Just ask his recent revenge 400m PR. 🔥

Congratulations, Tim! Now the real question remains: is the barbecue as good as the pound cake? by @bmr_snj

Canada must’ve gotten jealous of the smoke BMR South Jersey was bringing… so they sent us actual smoke. AQI really chose violence this week.

Before the haze rolled in, Monday miles kicked things off with Men’s Night Run Club. Tuesday, Vice-Captain Jus linked up with Sauken Run Club at Sharrott Winery for the Run the Vineyards: Rock the Night Away 5K. With Vice-Captain Tone in full hype-man mode, Jus grabbed 3rd Overall and kept the podium streak alive.

The smoky skies couldn’t stop the fellas from finally linking up in Atlantic City on Saturday, knocking out 2–10 miles along the boardwalk. Meanwhile, May and Fletch got medals and music at Philadelphia’s Diplo’s Run Club 5K.

Sunday’s assignment? Donio Park and mini mountain hill repeats. Next Sunday… River Road. Pray for our calves.

Until then, stay active, stay safe, and stay BMR.

XOXO,
BMR South Jersey 🖤💛 by @bmr_snj

The temperatures may have looked cute, but humidity was the real main character this week. 🥵

Still, BMR South Jersey wasn’t fazed, logging our highest collective mileage yet. Monday and Thursday belonged to @mensnightrunclub support before Friday turned into an impromptu ultra (because apparently that’s a normal decision now), and the squad made sure it wasn’t tackled alone.

Saturday, @924runcrew checked in, prayed up, and got back to work. Vice-Captain Jus and Tre’ battled through a tough 14-miler together, proving, once again, this is more than a run club, it’s a family.

Sunday? The Ben Franklin Bridge’s 100th birthday celebration continued with strong turnout, plenty of bridge repeats, and miles for every appetite.

Next up: Atlantic City on Saturday and Donio Park hills on Sunday. Until then… stay active, stay safe, and stay BMR💪🏽 by @bmr_snj

What was hotter this week: the temperature or the heat BMR South Jersey was bringing? We’ll let the mileage speak for itself. 🔥

The squad kept showing up, from supporting Men’s Night Run Club on Monday to tackling holiday weekend races. Captain E, May, and Robert took on the Pitman Freedom 4-Miler, while Asante joined the massive crowd at the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta. Back home, the 924 Crew held it down at Cooper, and Sunday brought more miles, more loops, and more consistency.

Next up: the bridge workout. Choose your distance and bring the energy. @bmr_phl , consider this your invitation… and your challenge. 👀

Until then…Stay active. Stay safe. Stay BMR. 🖤💛

June may be tapering, but BMR South Jersey isn’t.

Rain and wind couldn’t stop the January 1st Crew from showing up at Cooper to support Men’s Night Run Club. By the weekend, the squad was spread across multiple states collecting miles, PRs, podium finishes, and medals.

Jus defended his title at the Philly HBCU Alliance 5K, Bryce and May joined the top finishers circle, Tre grabbed 1st place and a PR at the Medford Pineland Striders 10K, Lu represented in DC,

Then came Sunday. Whether everyone showed up for the hills or Tim’s famous pound cake is still being debated, but the miles got done. Fletch logged waterfront miles with BWinners, and Captain E added more hardware to the collection at the USATF Mid-Atlantic & NJ Masters Championships.

June closed strong. July, we’re watching you. by @bmr_snj

School may be out, but mileage is always in session for BMR South Jersey. 🏃🏾‍♂️

After Sunday’s track workout, some of the squad linked back up for MNRC’s Monday run before gearing up for a holiday weekend full of miles.

Friday, Captain E led an African American Running Tour through historic Lawnside to honor Juneteenth. Saturday had BMR members spread across the map. Captain E, Vice-Captain Jus, Tre, and May headed to BMR North Jersey’s Juneteenth 5K and brought home three division wins. Asante and Joe represented at BMR Philly’s Freedom Run, the AC crew collected boardwalk miles, and our Marathon Master checked off marathon #20 at Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth.

Father’s Day brought more action, with brothers lining up for runs/races in Woodbury and Boston instead of putting their feet up.

Summer is officially here, and if this weekend was any indication, the miles are just getting started. Next stop: Haddonfield’s hills… in reverse. by @bmr_snj

Word on the run route is the BMR South Jersey squad understood the assignment this week: support.

The week kicked off with strong representation at Men’s Night Run Club’s South Jersey launch. By the weekend? Business as usual and BMR South Jersey was everywhere.

Atlantic City saw miles on the boardwalk. Captain E made the rounds from Cooper with the 924 Crew to Deptford showing love at Dreamality’s 2026 kickoff. Across the bridge, Vice Captain Jus and the bros showed Pride at Queer Run’s 2nd Annual 5K, while Mileage Mama May claimed 3rd place at the inaugural Water for All 5K.

Sunday’s track workout brought the squad back together under a blazing sun. Next stop: Juneteenth weekend with plenty of opportunities to support runs, community, and culture.

Month 6 just checked in, and BMR South Jersey wasted no time making noise.

@haddonrunco ‘s Global Running Day link-up was only the opening act. Mileage Mama May collected not one, but two First Female finishes this week, cashing in at @issaruncrew ‘s River to River before doubling back to take the crown again at the @latinasinmotion 5k. Meanwhile, Captain E and Vice-Captain Jus bookended the male side, bringing home 1st and 3rd overall.

By Sunday, the squad split up and still took over the map. Cooper River on one side, @phillyrunfest on the other. PRs, podiums, best efforts, and plenty of vibes.

Summer just started, and the pace is already aggressive. Next stop: Track work on Sunday, but check out the calendar if you want some speed at some of the races on Saturday.

Until then, stay active, stay safe and stay BMR💪🏽 by @bmr_snj

Spotted: South Jersey stacking May miles like gifts under the tree, and these weren’t stocking stuffers. When 924 took Saturday off, Vice-Captain Jus and May handled business with double digits. By Sunday, the squad was scattered across the map, showing love to Ben Franklin and Philly Track Jawn’s @the215k . Halfway through the year and some mileage goals are already in trouble. Race season is calling, and BMR is answering. Check the June calendar. Stay Active. Stay Safe. Stay BMR. by @bmr_snj

Summer racing season is officially outside. Medals will be handed out, PRs will be chased, and start lines will be everywhere. But while we love collecting hardware, BMR South Jersey is still collecting miles every Sunday.

We also included slides for our favorite June races and this month’s track workout. Fall victories are built in summer heat. Lace up, lock in, and bring a friend. All faces. All paces. Same smoke. 💪🏽🏃🏾‍♂️🔥 by @bmr_snj

As runners, we turn everything into a race, even Runner of the Month voting. And trust us, May’s winner was decided by a photo finish.

Congratulations to the Marathon Man and Mad Mileage Mathematician, Brother Chernor Bah.

We’ve watched him recover from a broken leg at lightning speed, collect marathons across the country, and somehow turn vacations into opportunities to run even more miles. Whether he’s convinced you to add an extra mile or an extra marathon to your calendar, he’s always ready to push the squad forward.

Well deserved, Chernor.

Now the only question is: will he celebrate this honor by finally following a training plan? by @bmr_snj
