#TBT to TenEleven late summer 2023 event,

Late September marked a memorable milestone for the event, as the organizers introduced a new runway layout for the very first time. The change provided improved safety, enhanced security, and much-needed space for the growing number of participants bringing trailers, equipment, and support vehicles.

The turnout that year was incredible. So many enthusiasts came out that dedicated staging and queue lines were needed just to keep the flow of cars organized throughout the day.

As the event began winding down and everyone started packing up, I took advantage of the relaxed atmosphere. With people hanging around, sharing stories, and enjoying the final moments of the day, it felt like the perfect opportunity to capture some rolling shots. That’s exactly what we did.

@woofer101, it was a pleasure meeting you and photographing your beautifully maintained 3 Series. Hopefully our paths cross again at another event in the future.

And once again, thank you @teneleven.ca for creating such an incredible experience and providing enthusiasts with unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime. #halfmile #carevents #teneleven by @bmw_fans_classic

Elegant design, attention to every detail — and at the same time so simple and effortless, like everything just fell into place. I studied industrial design, and German design school was always the benchmark for me — function and form in perfect balance.

But the BMW 507 is a whole different conversation. Albrecht Graf Goertz, who designed it, said he wanted to create a car that looks equally good from any angle. I think he nailed it.

Designers still use it as an example that beauty isn’t about adding things — it’s about knowing what to take away✨

Proudly standing in front of the renowned Pavyllon, this stunning BMW 3.0 CSi in elegant Nachtblau perfectly embodies the refinement and performance spirit of 1970s BMW. 🖌️

In the early 1950s, BMW’s lineup stretched between prestigious but unprofitable luxury models such as the BMW 503 and the BMW 3200 CS, and small, affordable cars aimed at a post-war German market with limited purchasing power. The turning point came with the 2000 CS, whose four-cylinder engine helped BMW reach a broader audience and regain financial stability. 🪁

In 1968, at the Frankfurt Motor Show, BMW unveiled the E9 generation—2500, 2800, and 2800 CS—combining the six-cylinder engines of the E3 sedans with the elegant coupé body, assembled by Karmann. Featuring a distinctive “shark nose” front end and an extended hood to house the new M30 inline-six (later seen in models like the BMW M5 (E34) and even in racing form in the BMW M1 Procar), the E9 marked a stylistic and technical leap forward. 🛋️

In 1971, the 3.0 CS replaced the 2800 CS with 180 horsepower and significant upgrades, including four-wheel disc brakes and a limited-slip differential. Later that year, the 3.0 CSi introduced Bosch fuel injection, raising output to 200 horsepower, achieving 0–100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and a top speed of 220 km/h. Though capable of challenging rivals like the Mercedes-Benz 280 SL, its 1,400 kg weight and comfort-oriented suspension positioned it more as a refined grand tourer than a pure sports car. 🧞‍♂️

Parked opposite the luxury boutiques on Avenue Montaigne, this elegant Agave Green BMW E9 2800 CS. 🌲

This 2800 CS is a fine representation of BMW’s “New Class” design era, featuring a desirable factory specification and a rare right-hand-drive layout. It is powered by a 2.8-litre M30 inline-six with twin carburettors, producing around 168 hp and paired with an automatic transmission sending power to the rear wheels. Built in only 1,949 units between 1969 and 1971, it is among the early models designed by Wilhelm Hofmeister to display the famous “Hofmeister kink,” with bodywork crafted by Karmann. The car rides on 14-inch alloy wheels with polished hubcaps, fitted with Bob Jane Australian All Rounder tyres. 🥝
