Introducing the November FCP Euro Car of the Month: the very limited 2023 3.0 CSL. A modern evocation of the 1973 classic 3.0 CSL, this contemporary interpretation was limited to just 50 examples. While the model was not officially sold in North America, well, this example is here in our BMW M3: 40 Years of Evolution exhibit, courtesy of Hendrick Heritage. Join us for Roundel Reunion, November 6–8, for a weekend of BMWs, good food, and familiar faces. From Friday dinner, Saturday’s Cars & Kaffee and evening dinner at the Zentrum to Sunday’s M3 Anniversary Festival, there’s plenty worth making the trip for.

Among the cars you’ll see Sunday is Dirk de Groen’s 1965 BMW 1800 TI/SA, a rare look at BMW’s racing ambitions long before the M3.

Just 200 were built for motorsport homologation, sold exclusively to licensed racing and competition drivers. Underneath the understated bodywork are twin Weber carburetors, a five-speed gearbox, upgraded brakes and suspension, and quick-ratio steering.

Dirk’s car, No. 193, was sold new in Portland, Oregon, and raced in SCCA competition in the late 1960s. After spending decades off the track, it was purchased and recommissioned by Dirk in 2025 and is back competing in vintage events.

Come take a closer look as we celebrate 40 years of the M3 at the BMW Performance Center in Greer, SC, on Sunday, November 8. Explore the member cars and BMW racecars, enjoy barbecue lunch, and watch the afternoon’s exhibition laps.

Festival admission is $50 and includes lunch. The exhibition runs from 1–5 PM.

BMW NA will bring the 2011 E92 M3 GT #56, 2015 E89 Z4 GTLM #25, and the 2001 E46 M3 GTR Stars and Stripes cars!!! Driving will be done by Bill Auberlen (E46 M3 GTR), Mike Renner, BMW Performance Center Driving Instructor (E92 M3 GT #56), and Adam McGregor, Head of BMW Motorsport North America (Z4 GTLM). by @bmwccafoundation

Ride in the Stars & Stripes E46 M3 GTR with Bill Auberlen, one of the drivers who raced it to victory at Petit Le Mans in 2001.

For that race, BMW Team PTG owner Tom Milner created the patriotic livery as a tribute to those lost on September 11 and a nation in mourning. Auberlen, Boris Said, and Hans Stuck brought home the win, securing this car’s place in American BMW racing history.

On Sunday, November 8, Auberlen will be back behind the wheel for charity rides at the M3 Anniversary Festival. Come see the car up close, then experience it from the passenger seat with a driver who knows it well.

Also joining Sunday’s lineup:
🏁 Z4 GTLM: Charity rides with Adam McGregor, Head of BMW Motorsport North America
🏁 E92 M3 GT: Charity rides with Mike Renner
🏁 McLaren F1 GTR: Exhibition laps with Adam McGregor

The festival is the finale of Roundel Reunion, November 6–8, at the BMW Performance Center in Greer, SC.
